I know now why I name them. The dinosaurs. I like to make it personal. Whether they’re going to eat me, or feed me, or indirectly help me, I need to know who I’m dealing with. When you assign a name to something, it’s no longer the scary unknown. It just is.
Our Jeep picks up speed as Conquest nears in the window. He’s tearing at the other Jeep, ripping off the side mirror. He places a clawed foot on the front tyre and it bursts. Zhen has her bow at the ready. Takeshi might have his spear, but it’s going to be hard to use effectively in such a small space.
‘What’s the plan?’ screams Pip.
‘We’ll ram it.’
