Chapter NineteenAfter having lunch, Mum insists we buy groceries as well and so she drops me off back home with enough food to feed an army. While I wave her goodbye, I keep eyeing the letter on the side table in the hall. I’d never really thought about exhibiting my work, I’ve always lacked the confidence. Could I have been selling myself short like Peter said? Peter… Clearly he must have set this up before our big fight, so would it be rude to accept the offer anyway? Mum didn’t seem to think so, but then she probably thinks I still have a chance to make things right with him. I’m not so sure now, I’ve said some pretty mean things and done a brilliant job of convincing myself I’d made the right call. Now, a week later, what if he’s moved on?
