CHAPTER 11

2202 Words
MYXY’S POV I stepped inside, then they followed me, and I was surprised to see that it was broader inside than it appeared outside. I raised my palm, closed my eyes, and smelled the salty sea mingled with grass. I approached Haiden and thanked him after looking at him. He gave me a smile before scratching his head. “I wish everyone would put in more effort,” Joy murmured as she sat in the shade of a tree. “Do you want it as well?” Titus asked and he had this silly smile on his lips. “You know you. Do you see that huge sea?” she said, pointing to the ocean. “I’ll throw you there if you don't stop pestering me,” she continued, and he scoffed at Joy’s words. I smiled at both of them and couldn’t help but burst out laughing because of it. I glanced at aunt Pneona, and she indicated me, and I scowled at her. She brought out two brooms, hopped on them, and gave one to me, and I just stared at her, not knowing what to do. “Ahh... what should I do?” I inquired as she winced. “Ride it,” she said. “I assumed you'd sweep and clean,” Karol remarked. “Do you have any idea what that broom means?” “No,” I said quickly, and she smacked her brow. “Ride on it, Myxy,” she said, and I did. I hadn’t even positioned myself properly when it suddenly moved, and I fell to the floor, and because of that my butt hit the hard ground. I was shocked because of what happened, then I closed my eyes hard, and looked at aunt Pneona. I don’t know if she really tripped me or if she was just playing with me because I hadn’t used a witch broom since then. I was never taught that I needed to learn how to ride this beast; all I knew was that I needed to learn the spells correctly. I got to my feet and sighed. “You don’t have to rush because you don’t always have to study things that are just getting started,” she told me. Haiden also sat next to Joy and watched us perform what we were about to do. I looked at the broom I was carrying, repositioned it, and then rode it fast and without hesitation. Aunt Pneona instantly followed it as it went into the air. She pulled out her wand, which made my eyes widen because I wasn’t prepared for the training we were going to do today. “Aunt!” I yelled. “You must learn these things, Myxy,” she explained. “But how can I learn if I’m already struggling here?” I said, immediately backing away from her and landing first. “Auntie, can we start with the basics?” I saw how she laughed and sighed before landing. “Yes indeed, aunt Pneona?” Joy agreed and turned to face aunt Pneona. Aunt Pneona winced as a result of what Joy said, and I chuckled. “I won’t push you to hurry these things, but for now, I’ll allow you to have time and chance to read the books your Mommy got you,” she continued, and I nodded. Aunt Pneona and Joy had both departed, leaving me alone. I raised my hand, indicated, and a book Mommy had given me emerged in front of me. When it opened, the letters appeared in front of me, and I began studying what I needed to learn. I've made numerous mispronunciations and almost lost patience as a result of the incorrect words that have come out of my lips. “What the heck!” I said, irritated. “How come I can’t speak them correctly?” I complained. I closed the book and sat down to watch the waves. It’s calm and vast, but even the salty wind feels pleasant. While I was silent, my head began to ache, and I closed my eyes due to the pain. I rose up and stepped through the door, where a room opened up in front of me, and I screamed in surprise as I saw Haiden seated there. “Have you been there before?” I said, surprised. “Yeap,” he answered. “So… you see…” I don’t know what I’m going to say next, but I think he recognizes what I mean. “Ahhh…” “Are you ok?” he asked me, then I sighed and nodded. “Does anything hurt you?” he inquired, and I shook my head once again. “I thought earlier that you were going to do something, that’s why you left with Joy,” I said. “Yeah, but do you recall what you said the last time?” he said, and I think of it to remember. “Ahh... what about the love connection?” I inquire. “Yeap, that one,” he answered again. When I realized this, I covered my lips and sat next to him. “Something I wanted to clear up,” I explained, and he scowled. “Clear what?” he questioned, and I looked him in the eyes. “Our agreement,” I replied, seeing how his aura shifted. There are a lot of things going on in my head, and I honestly don’t know what else to think about and need to prioritize. Haiden took my hand, then my face, and peered into my eyes. “We’ll go back to the witch world when you’re proficient at chanting the spells, Myxy,” he stated calmly. I don’t know what to say since what he said offended me. “I can study those things too, don’t rush me,” I remarked furiously before leaving and returning to where I was room. When I returned to my room, I gazed in the mirror and created a portal to the witch world. When I did that, I noticed aunt Pneona’s eyes widen, and she was ready to stop me, but I jumped before she could get too close. When I arrived in the forest, I saw it was dark and scary. I’m terrified because I’m hearing a weird noise all around me. I moved, then felt about myself, and to be honest, I didn’t like what was surrounding the blackness around me. When I heard a voice, I instantly went into hiding, and by doing so, I became invisible, and I saw two hideous monsters that I had never seen before. “Why do those troops have to be as nasty as the beasts on TV?” I said, observing how they came to a halt when they heard anything. I, too, turned to see where the ruckus was coming from and recognized a familiar voice. “What the heck, Titus, you’re a moron.” “Joy.” I instantly rose up, moved, and cast the spell, but I pronounced it incorrectly, which is why it came out incorrectly. The nasty animals glanced at the ones I brought out, so I changed them into little frogs and knocked them down, causing them to burst out with Joy. When I spotted them, I gave them a nasty look, and what happened next was not what I expected. Because of what my aunt had done, I felt a powerful and crisp smack, and my face felt numb. “What was that for?” I inquired. “What was it for?” she said angrily, “That is because you are freaking fcking selfish, Myxy!” she shouted at me. My tears fell as a result of what she has done, and I don’t know how to repay her. That event appeared to jolt my soul and intellect awake. I couldn’t say what she said, but I knew what had transpired. Joy approached me instantly, and I glared at aunt evilly. “I’m not as selfish as you think; I simply can’t take staying in one place and doing nothing but studying that wretched spell; I don’t want anything else in my life if not to return to this world, but now I’d rather die save my mother than remain worthless for the rest of my life!” He couldn’t utter what I said, and I'm still at a loss for words. Even though the words I said were like crayons in my heart, I couldn’t believe that I was a useless human. I brushed my tears away and took a deep breath. It’s not my fault I was born a half-blooded witch who knows nothing but misspelled words. When we spotted the hideous monsters, we instantly glanced about and took action. I didn’t expect someone to come at me at the time, so I didn’t flee right quickly, and Haiden bit that monster and flung it elsewhere. He’s practically the size of a lion, and I had no idea that wolves get enormous when they become Alpha. “Run!” Aunt replied fast, and we were off running. Joy also transformed into a wolf and bolted while I rode behind Haiden. Haiden's speed is incapable of handling three, which is why I was astounded by what he accomplished. Nonetheless, I was concerned about the potential of that beast catching up with us. Aunt instantly cast magic, and a massive monster appeared in front of her. She had control of it, and I couldn't even get out, and it was as if I had suddenly become weak. I looked up while we were running because I felt someone was following us. I instantly rose up and cast a spell, which thankfully I got right since I cast it correctly. When I did it, I arrived there fast and spotted other witches from above. “You trespassers!” said a woman as she swung her wand. “Where are the other witches?” I inquired, despite the fact that I knew we were in danger. “You still need to ask?” Aunt was irritated. “How will we know if I don’t ask?” I said, and she gave me a dirty look. “Why should I tell you?” the woman said, and I grinned at her. “Because I asked, are you stupid?” I grumbled, raising my hand and casting a spell I knew. It laughed, causing many bees to enter its mouth, which made me laugh, and then I glanced not far away at a palace coated in red light, and I looked at aunt Pnoena, who was also staring. I glanced down when I saw a beast continue to follow them, at that point, I lifted both of my hands and rained sharp items on them, but I quickly covered them with a shield so that they did not become like the monsters hunting them. “Is that Satan’s house?” I sarcastically questioned my aunt. Aunt said, “Maybe in Lucifer’s child,” and I winced. To be honest, I don't like what I’m seeing, and I’m not going to take what aunt said seriously, but it appears to be true. When I got down, the monster I was riding vanished, as did Aunt. Haiden quickly changed his appearance, and they moved beside us to gaze at each other, which is when I noticed their shocked expressions. “Satan exists in your world,” Joy explained. “Probably this isn’t the witch land we envisioned,” Titus speculated. “I think this is the devil’s domain,” Karol stated. “Shut up,” Haiden hissed, closing their mouths. We instantly went into hiding as a soldier appeared nearby. I looked around to see where we may go to see what was inside. When I noticed a door, I went straight there, and they followed me. Aunt gripped my shoulder, compelling me to turn to face her, and my brow was furrowed as a result of what she did. “What?” I'll ask. “Not all doors are unattended,” she muttered, then compass her wand, and there was no guard inside, and I rolled my eyes at her. “Don’t be too confident,” she cautioned, and I simply grumbled at her, I was going to go first, but Haiden jumped ahead of me. “Woah? Haiden wants to die first,” Joy said, and I don’t know if I would laugh at what she said. When we entered, I noticed how many guards there were, and the other potions were strewn, and I had no idea what or where they were for. We moved gently into the area, then I instantly parted from them without their awareness. Because I noticed a familiar aura that I'd seen before and knew who owns it. When I came to a corridor, I noticed a door, which was where the aura was emanating from. I can hear cries and endure pain like they are being tortured. To be honest, I don’t know what to do or whether to go inside. When I saw someone coming, I instantly became invisible and covered my aura so they wouldn’t see or feel me.
