"Aliya"

" Will all students please gather at the grand hall now" the voice echoes loudly through the hidden speakers. We all stood up rushing towards the hall.the big door closes as we all make way finding our sits.my eyes met with bellas' and she strodes towards me pulling my hand.i gave her a smile. "Hey ali". "Hey bella, what do u think this is about?" I asked. She shakes her head in negative.we both found seats and sat down. This time the seats are arranged randomly.when everyone settles in and the whole place quiet, the chancellor walks to the mini stage to speak. " hello students!" She purses glancing across the hall as if observing each student.after a deep breath she continues. " in two days we are to gatther back here. There will be a game of luck. This game only applies to all virgins and mateless girls,others cannot participate. So be here by 10:am. Late coming incures severe punishment". She gave a cut nod and walks out. Wow this is strange. Game of luck? Haven't anything like that since i got here. "What is on your mind?"  Bella shakes my shoulder. "Wellll the anoucement, what game of luck do they intend to play with the girls? Virgins and mateless girls for that matter, Doesn't that seem suspicions?".  I browled my eyes. "Well i heard from someone that the king want to choose a bride". She smirked mischievouly. "What do you mean?". I asked confused. "Well thats the gist going around the school especially from the vampires ans wolves. They said something about a contest. I mean why else will this game of luck be for only the mateless and virgins?." Wow am surprised. Its almost 3 weeks the king visited the school.i still fantasize about him most nights.yeah call me creepy but dont worry i know am never having him so i know my limits. But am shocked he wants to choose a bride through a contest, i mean his all powerful and all so why couldnt he just pick someon.... " ali?". Bella snaps me out of my thoughts with concern in her eyes. "Are you okay". "Oh yes i am. Am just surprised that he wants to choose instead of getting someone for himself and marry."  " yeah i know right, well i dont blame him much.you know how much he hates the humans and weaklings so maybe he just wants the best and that can be proven through the contest."  Wow am surprised "he hates humans?"  "I dont know ali, i heard so" she gave me a sad look. "Well goodluck to him" i pull her hand walking out of the hall to the library .i can see students hanging around chatting away time. Bella excused herself saying she will catch up with me later. I know she hates going to the library. As i walk into the library walking straight to my favourite spot but then i spot her. Oh i dont want this right now. Why the hell does maya like getting on my nerve.

Coming out from the hall after the annoucement,i go straight to the library and sat at my favourite spot. Its hidden area with a window by the wall. The view outside the window is soo beautiful and peaceful.the trees hide the beautiful sun rays so its just perfect.i tilt my head to my left and i see her walking towards me.well what does she want now. Aliya is one of the people that hates me i  this school though she's human. Humans are scared of our kind but aliyah is not. Every time she sees me, she stares daggers into my soul like am the cause of her problems of which i know nothing about.i dont know why she hates me but well i dont care. Standing infront of me staring straight into my eyes, " what?" i asked her as my beast felt chanllenged. I can tolerate my king treating anyhow they want but i wont let a human girl insult me and the fact she's looking me in the eye is disrespectful to a warewolf from a human but i still dont sense fear in her. "You are on my seat". She speaks finally. I huff. "Your seat? This is the library for God's sake aliya, there are alot of empty seats so please go somewhere else and seat." I tilt my head down continuing my reading. She sighs and walks off. Of course she can't make noise here or else she will be punished.my mind wonders back to the annoucement today. What on earth do they need virgins amd mateless girls for?.my birthday is in two days and i hope i find my mate.we warewolves find our mates once we get to 18 although its becoming difficult this days for wolves to find there mate but i hope to find my so i can escape from that heartless pack.i shake off the distraction and continues my reading and i can still see aliya staring daggers at me from where she's sitting. 

         "Welcome back students,so lets begin.we are to come forward one at a time, dip your hands into the golden box after the blindfold and pick up the first object your hand touches, raise it up and found out what you have then quietly walk back to your seat". Wow didnt expect this on my birthday but here we are in the hall playing the soo called game of luck. Every corner of the school for the past two days have been filled with gossip about the this game and the king choosing a bride and i just dont get why all these is necessary, he should just find himself a bride, well am just looking forward to finding my mate. Bella gave me an expensive neckless this morning as my birthday gift and i love it soo much. Told her it was too much though but she waved it off telling me i deserved more.am soo grateful for having her as my bestfriend.now it was my turn to go and pick and it's at this point my whole body seems to go against me. I dont know why am nervous,i mean its just a game and i dont even know what the point of this game is besides am not even sure the rumors are true but even if it is,how will this game choose a bride for the king. This is soo confusing.why the hell do i have jitters. I drag my leg slowly to the box, getting there i was blindfolded. I dip my hand and touch a round small object. I pick it up and took it out from the box.once the blindfold is off, i tilted my head down to see what am holding,it a golden orb. The chancellor motioned her hand to the right and that was her telling me to join those standing there. They where very much few compared to those on her left.there is fear and confusion in everyone's eye except "ava" my bestfriend as i walked standing close to her. She was already on the right side after she picked so i guess hers' is a golden orb too. " why does it seem this whole thing is not affecting you but instead i can see the happiness in your eyes". I asked. " dont worry bestfriend you will find out soo... ooh wow your enemy is walking over to this side too". Just then i can see anger flash in her eyes, who is making her feel this way,i turn around just to see the she devil walking towards us. But its strange, why is ava angry? I haven't seen her react this way towards aliya before. Now am sure there is something she's hidding. After the annoucement two days back, she's been all cold except this morning she gave me my gift and returned back to her cold mood.well untill now i saw those genuine happiness in her eyes and then the anger.what is she hidding. Guess i will find out later. Aliya walks closer to us before standing few inches away from us. I scan the room looking for her best and only friend and yeah she's on the other side. Too bad for her. Bella has been the only one she's been close to since i got here.she doesn't have friends and it makes me wonder why she hates me soo much because i could see the pain in her eyes and the walls she built around herself.we both share that in common. "Well well" the chancellor's words snaps me back to reality. "The game is over and was sucessful, the girls with the silver orb please raise your hands showing your orbs". They did as instructed. "The girls with the golden orb please raise raise your hands showing your orbs". We did thesame. Checking around me we are only few,very few. " please the girls with the silver orb take your seats." they all walked back to there seats and the chancellor turns to us with a proud look on her face. "Well well all you 40 students has be chosen to participate in the queen challenge as i officially announce to you all that the king is set to choose his bride and whoever wins the challenge emerges the Queen".  Wow to say i was shocked will be understatement, i was baffled. The chancellor's face becomes serious and eyes bloodshot, she continues "from now on, you 40 student will have no interaction with the opposite s*x or else you will be killed be it finding your mate or not untill after the contest is over.you have 14 days to train before the competition proper and i demand hardwork in all seriousness. You will no longer be attending class but only the training ground,so be prepared. Meet me at the training ground at 6:30 am tomorrow."  She walks away but before leaving the hall,she calls me to follow her.

  Once i get her office, i knock and heard a 'come in'.i walked in and she motions me to sit.i sat at the chair opposite her.without spearing me a glance she says "you where given four days to go home but now i can only give you two since you are among the chosen. I will let your alpha know about the new developm...."  i cut her off immediately  "please dont tell him". I hide the fear in my eyes so she doesn't catch on. " i want to break the news myself". I say forcing a smile but am sure she suspects something.i can see it in her eyes. "okay but make sure you get back here within the two days i gave you". "Yes ma'am". I assured. I got up to leave after she was done with me.as i walk to the door she calls me again.  "maya!" I looked back toward her. "Am glad you were chosen.make sure you dont waste it." She smiles and focus back on her laptop. "Yes ma'am". I leave shutting the door behind walking back to my dorm to deal with all the emotions seeking my attention. I can't believe i was chosen.
