“From now on my wife will be taking care of all the work related to me”.
Natalie’s eyes widened and her spoon stopped in the mid air a little away from her mouth when his words registered in her mind.
Maria looked between the couple with a frown on her face while both Natalie and Cyrus kept staring into each other’s eyes.
“But…” Maria started in attempt to break the awkward silence that was hanging in the room but was cut off when Cyrus looked at her breaking the eye contact with his wife.
“We will manage from here, Maria. You can go and take care of other tasks. Also make sure to explain everything to Mrs. Knight later.” he said and Maria just nodded her head and left the dining room after bowing her head in respect.
