CH 3
I don’t know when I woke or how long I had even been out, but I was feeling nauseas. Memories came flooding back to me and I quickly sat up taking in my surroundings. I was in a massive king size, four post canopy bed. The thick, red, velvet curtains were tied to each post and flowed gorgeously to the floor. The silk sheets and thick blankets were heavenly. I got the faintest scent of sandlewood and the fear hit.
I was kidnapped! I can’t be kidnapped! I have a job! I have a son! I have a life!!! I have to get out of here, where ever here was. I leapt from the bed and circled my surroundings. The room was really breathtaking. The walls were a burgundy red with wood trim. There were paintings of landscapes and animals on every wall. A small sitting area was located in the corner and a large area rug covered the center of the room. Each wooden end table had a small lamp. Those may come in handy.
There were two doors and across from the bed were French doors partially covered by curtains. I ran to them. I threw them open and found myself on a balcony overlooking woods and a small lake. “Where am I?”
Just then the door swung open and an elderly looking woman came in carrying a tray. She placed it down on the table and turned to look at me. “Alpha would like for you to eat”
“Who the f**k is Alpha, and where the hell am I?”
She gave me a look of pity and said “Alpha Hunter is the Alpha of the Moonstone pack. You will be his Luna soon”
“What the f**k?! I will not! What is a Luna? You said Moonstone pack? What are you a cult?! I’ve been kidnapped by a damn cult! I have to get out of here! Please help me! I have a job, a son, an entire life! I can’t be here!” I could feel the tears about to spill over, but there was no way I would let any of them see me cry.
Her head dropped and she just shook it. “We are not a cult. Alpha will it explain everything shortly. Don’t worry my dear. It will all work out. My name is Mary. If you need anything just find me.”
With that she turned and left. I went back to the balcony assessing my surroundings. I wasn’t too far up and there’s a trellis I could easily climb down.
“I wouldn’t do what you’re thinking of doing kitten.”
My blood ran cold. I turned to face my abductor. He was truly breathtaking. He wore a skintight tshirt and sweatpants and I could see every glorious muscle.
“f**k you! Let me go!”
His eyes darkened and then he was across the room with his hand around my throat.
“What a filthy little mouth you have. We will have to fix that.”
I just glared at him not giving him the satisfaction of a reaction. I could feel myself getting light headed. He seemed to notice and loosened his hold but kept his hand firmly around my neck.
“Get your filthy hands off of me and let me out of here.”
“I thought I was clear, you will be going nowhere. You are my mate. I’ve waited so long for you, and you smell absolutely delicious, like lavender and honey. I could devour you right here.”
“I am no ones. I have a life you can’t just take people whenever you feel like it. I have a son and a job.”
His hand dropped and his eyes darkened. There was no denying the growl that escaped his lips.
“WHAT!”
I took that opening to run. I made it through the door and slammed it behind me. I ran to the right until I found the stairs. Unfortunately for me there were people everywhere and all eyes were on me.
A loud howl shook the place and I darted I didn’t care. I would make it through that front door.
I made it to the lawn and just kept going. I was beyond surprised no one tried to stop me. They looked as surprised as I was.
I made it to the woods when I felt it again and I just knew he was coming. I turned and saw him in the doorway and his once beautiful blue eyes were now black, the light fully illuminating his face. I was terrified.
Was I going crazy or was he growing? I watched in horror as his hands changed to claws and his clothes shredded. In his place stood a giant black wolf and his eyes were locked on me.
I screamed. This wasn’t happening! I’ve been kidnapped by a giant dog! I started running again. I was not going to stop. I couldn’t die here! The thought of my son making me push through the pain, as my lungs were on fire and tears were streaming down my face.
I could hear him. He was so close. I was never going to make it out of here.
I turned and hit a hard, naked chest and looked up into Nicks eyes.
“Oh my God! Help me! He’s going to kill me!”
He looked past my shoulder with wide eyes and shoved me behind him.
“Hunter calm down. You’re terrifying her. You need to shift back.”
A terrifying growl was the only response this giant beast gave.
“We can figure this out. I know you don’t want to hurt her. Just shift back. She can’t talk to you in this state.”
The wolf changed before us into a very angry and very naked Hunter. I was using Nick as my human shield. There was no way I was going near that monster.
“First I find her in a w***e den, and then I find out she has a pup with another man. She’s been touched by other men!” Hunter shouted.
“You had to of known that was a possibility when you found her at the club” Nick stated, “As for the pup, she’s human they don’t know our ways and this was all before you were even in the picture.”
This seemed to calm him a little, but I was still getting the hell out of here. As they were talking I was slowly backing away ready to make my grand escape. That was until his head snapped towards me and our eyes locked. My whole body grew cold and a shiver ran down my spine.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
His words were calm and even, but his eyes showed a storm he was fighting inside. I turned to run but it was Nick who stopped me this time.
“You don’t want to do that little vixen, we just calmed him down.”
“I can’t stay here! I have a life, a home I have to go back to!”
Nick thought about this as Hunter just stood there staring, eyes never leaving me.
“Where is your pup currently?”
I looked at him not knowing whether I should answer or not.
“No harm will come to him little one, you have my word.”
“He’s staying with his father for a couple weeks, and he’s not a pup. He’s a human child.”
“Very well then it’s decided. You’ll stay until we can get this sorted out.”
“There’s nothing to sort out! I’m not staying here with that monster.”
Hunter flinched, but looked right at me. “You have no choice kitten.”
Before I could blink he was by my side and had me over his shoulder. I screamed, kicked, and flailed around, but his grip on me never loosened. We were back in front of the house and everyone was staring in disbelief. “Disperse” he roared at them. They all went about their business only a few daring to sneak a glance at the Alphas prisoner going crazy in his arms.
