We walked back to the pack house hand in hand, in eerie silence; only our hearts doing the most. I felt his fears and his unsaid words. After leaving The Cresta, we hurried back to the “cave” and returned the Eye of Zeus to its original place. But after the revelation of today; I don’t think we were ever going to need it again to cross The Cresta. I was going to be passage to the other side.
Zeus held on my hand like his life depended on him. We walked into the house with no one uttering a single word. As soon as we stepped into the closed walls of our chambers; we stripped of our clothes until we were standing in our birthday suits, gloriously naked and pure. He bundled my body in a hot embrace; and began trembling.
