LESS THAN A minute later, I was in my room, changed into a pair of black jeans and a plain blue shirt. I sat on my bed, staring at the black wireless phone that laid on my desk, willing it to ring.
Seconds ticked by.
Minutes passed. It was already seventeen minutes after seven. Night time. Mom and Raymond should be home soon. And so should Lay.
I shouldn't be eager to go out this late at night, but I couldn't stop the excitement that was coursing through me. Besides, Lay was still out too.
I wouldn't be the only one to get into trouble if we got found out.
I sighed. Why wasn't he calling?
Just when I thought Austin had hung up on me for good, the phone rang. Instantly, I reached to grab it.

'Elena!' I tore the device from my ear before it could cause any further damage
