'YOU'RE HERE?' I gasped out, eyes widened in shock.
The excitement never left his eyes.
'How?'
'I followed you. You were too busy complaining to notice.'
I blurted out stupidly. 'Really?'
'I had to make sure you didn't get hurt or get lost. I mean it is night time.' He explained.
'Austin, that's very... ' I paused, looking for the right word to use. Sweet? Thoughtful? 'Creepy.' I finally said.
'You want me to leave?' He asked, gesturing his thumb to the bushy pathway.
'No.' I rushed out.
He smiled. 'I wasn't planning to either.'
I don't know why, but his smile suddenly made my cheeks burn. 'Austin?'
'Yeah?'
'We should hang up.' I suggested, remembering that I still had my phone against my ear.
