Waiting for Her Mate

Chapter 9

Damien's POV

I just came back to my room after completing today's training, I am to take over as the Alpha for the Crescent and Silver Moon Pack in the next few years. I am currently eighteen years old, I turned eighteen after I graduated from school but I haven't found my mate yet. My name is Damien Evan Wilson and as I said I am the next inline Alpha for my packs, I stay with the Crescent Moon pack with my family, my dad is the Alpha and my mom is the Luna of our packs. We stay here because Crescent Moon is bigger than the Silver Moon pack so we had to watch this pack more closely and we monitor the Silver Moon pack remotely with the help of our third in command who happens to be my uncle and our head warrior who watch the Silver Moon pack for us remotely.

We live peacefully with our family and pack here, my family consists of six members, that is my parents me, my younger brother Victor, my youngest brother Seth and my baby sister Fiona. We are what you call a happy family, I love them all to the moon and back but I still long for my mate and about me I am about 6'3" tall, I have dark blue eyes and jet black hair. I think I look good overall but I would feel good too once I find my mate and when she says I am handsome, her words are what matter to me the most in the world. At one point I thought that I maybe I know who my mate is but now I can't say that for sure because she has moved to our other pack, her name is Saige and I was happy that she was my next inline Beta. I was happy that she would stay close to me and I would find out if she was my mate as soon as she turns eighteen. She is now fifteen years old and has another three years before she could turn eighteen but the sad part is I would not be able to have her near me, my wolf is always calm when she is around. She is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in this entire world, dad says that she is special and we will have to protect her and even I get this need to protect her and keep her away from harm's way. I have been attracted to her since we were kids and as we grew up my attraction for her grew as well, we have spent a lot of time together in school because we were in the same class although she was younger than me.

I always wanted to talk to her but was afraid of driving her away so we rarely ever spoke, to be honest, I was quite angry and upset when she moved away from the pack and she never even thought of speaking to me once before taking a decision. She was the next inline Beta and I was her future Alpha, we were supposed to stay together as a team and look after our pack, I know she was worried about her mother and she did what she thought was good for her family but she could have at least talked me as a friend. A few days ago Victor and Seth went to meet her and they said she has apologised because she couldn't confide in me about her problems because she didn't have the time, they told me that they weren't staying at the packhouse and that she wasn't comfortable at her mother's friend's house. I looked up for information and found out that she was staying at Ronald's house and now I was worried because I know why she is uncomfortable but unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do about it because Saige's father, our Beta Marcus already know about it and he has warned her to stay alert, also because she had asked both Victor and Seth to not let anyone involve in it or it could create misunderstandings between Saige and her mother. I can't break Saige's trust for Victor and Seth, she loves them like brothers and it would break her heart if she thought they betrayed her.

I wanted to speak to her but I don't know if that a good idea, I just hope she stays okay till she finds her mate and maybe the Moon Goddess has blessed me enough to have such a kind and loving soul as a mate. I sighed as I walked into the bathroom taking a quick shower, once I was done I pulled on a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt with a pair of sneakers and a black leather jacket. Once I was done I blow-dried my hair and gelled them to keep them in place, I looked myself in the mirror I looked good but whenever I looked myself in the mirror I was reminded of those beautiful green eyes I used to see in the glass window at school. I shook my head pushing the thoughts away from my head as I moved to get out of the room to visit dad's office so he could tell me all about the work I have to do as the Alpha. I am basically training at the pack rather than going to the Alpha school for training because here I would have four leaders to mentor me who have been leading the strongest packs in the country till now, who moved be more qualified to train me on my duties. As soon as I closed the door to my bedroom behind me I came face to face to a few she-wolves from my who were looking at me seductively batting their eyelashes making me roll my eyes, I felt my wolf Troy scoff and huff at the looks they were giving me as I walked past them when the school queen Miranda walked up to me swaying her hips running her hands up and down my arm and I started getting angry as Troy was growling loudly at being disrespected.

"What the hell Miranda?" I growled throwing her off of me as she tried to come close again

"Alpha, I am just trying to help you release some tension" she purred trying to touch me again and a growl left my lips as all the other she-wolves scurried away

"Have you forgotten who I am?" I growled at her as I felt Troy coming to surface he was clawing at me wanting to show the piece of s**t her place like a mad wolf he some times becomes

'Hey, I heard that' he said growling at me lowly

'So? You were meant to' I said rolling my eyes at him

"You are our future Alpha and I am your Luna" she said with a proud smile, she has some nerves there

"You are not my Luna and will never be because you are not my mate" I said my voice loud and clear yet it was firm to show her I was serious about it

"No one can be a better Luna than me" she challenged and I looked at her with a raised eyebrow

"No one can satisfy you or let you f**k the way I can" she said with a smirk and I shook my head laughing out loud as I couldn't hold it in

"You think I would ever want to touch you, I never wanted you and I will never want you even if you were the last she-wolf on earth" I said once my laughter died

"You are mine Alpha and even if you find her I will kill her, then you will have to accept me as your mate even if that is unwillingly" she said with a challenge and I must say she has some guts to look me in the eye and say she wants to kill my mate, she can't defend herself even if her life depended on it

"Really? Because I would like to see you try, you know you could never even near my Luna and even if you do you can't lay a finger on her and yes before you do anything else you will be banished from the pack forever and you know if you are banished from our pack no other pack would take you in" I said smiling in satisfaction as she looked at me with eyes as wide as saucers

"You can't do that to me" she screamed and I let out a laugh before turning serious

"Try me, I challenge you to even think of harming anyone I love or care about then you will know what I am capable of, I love my family and pack but that doesn't mean I would let them do whatever they want. Now, listen and listen to this very carefully because I will not repeat this again, you are nothing and no one to me so stay the f**k away from me because I am not interested in whatever you have to offer. Is that clear?" I yelled in my Alpha tone and she flinched before nodding her head vigorously with a small "Yes Alpha" as she scurried away and both Troy and I sighed in satisfaction moving in the direction of dad's office
