As much as he would have enjoyed seeing the look on Abby’s face on Saturday morning if he showed up on her doorstep, he had work to do. The sprinkler issue on Monday had taken him off another job, and he was already stretched thin due to the addition of the Collins properties. It was good, though. It got him focused on something other than Abby for a while. Or at least it gave him an outlet to work off some of that s****l frustration he’d been feeling the night before.
