But her curiosity to know everything aroused his expectations from her, that he truthfully explained to her the situation. "I wouldn't say that I want to satisfy my family and that's why I'm proposing this marriage to you, which might appear as contract marriage." Markos caressed her knuckles with his thumb while his champagne orbs never left her troubled face. Despite the smeared mascara around her eyes, which no doubt made Valeria look like a ghost….Markos found her beautiful and intriguing creature! "I will truthfully confess that I fell in love with you at first sight." She was like a mystery for him which Markos wanted to play and solve with all his heart. The man waited for her answer after disclosing to her the truth. Valeria was undoubtedly stunned by the shameless man standing in front of her, who still did not bother to dress up to look decent in order to impress her. Valeria knew she wanted help and no one other than some rich and influential person could help her with the financial crises she was having. The woman thought for a moment while her smokey smeared makeup eye stared into Markos's. 'Is he speaking the truth? But how is it possible for someone to fall in love with a woman in a drunken state? Ugh! This is so embarrassing and surreal. But it's worth a gamble!' She knew something was suspicious but didn't know what was amiss. Markos waited for her reply with an eager expression which made her uneasy for some unknown reason. "I...I accept the deal." Markos chuckled softly which sounded insulting to Valeria that she immediately pulled her hand suspecting that Markos was mocking her. Whereas in just the matter of seconds two strong arms wrapped her in a string hug, Markos nearly squeezed her to suffocation which she didn't expect. "Let's marry today then!" "Today?" Valeria exclaimed in disbelief, she didn't expect Markos to be so eager to marry her. Whereas the man didn't want to delay anything since he wanted to have her as soon as possible. "Yeah. Why not?" Markos reached for her hand and stared intently in her eyes. "I mean there is no point of delaying it, when we are already getting married." His words were true but Valeria didn't expect him to be so possessive. She was willing to marry him but somehow in her heart she expected to find some way out of the mess. Now that he proposed the marriage out of nowhere Valeria thought her life coming to an end. "But why today?" Valeria blurted out but then gulped acknowledging her blunder, she couldn't really afford to offend a bigshot like him. Even though his family reputation was showed to be in crises, he could turn her life upside down not because she was an easy target. Markos was well off enough to have sources to turn the whole Europe upside down. His expressions changed and Markos looked no less than a lost puppy who wanted some favor to sent him home. "But why not today? We are supposed to get married, if not today then tomorrow. So, why not today?" He sounded reasonable which didn't leave any choice for her. "Mhm." Valeria kept quiet when Markos hopped towards the other side of the bed and took his phone. He texted something hurriedly while Valeria raked through her hair. The woman felt the world was spinning around her after hearing Markos's words. 'This is bad, this is getting worse. What should I do?' Panic was evident on her face that the woman fanned her face with hand. Valeria had no clue on what mess she had put herself into. The woman faked a smile towards Markos, who was unable to contain his happiness. The atmosphere of the room suddenly got heavier and awkward between the two of them. 'I was supposed to dump him later on after getting out of the room. Gah! What should I do now? There is no way out of this mess now.' The woman still hoped to figure out some kind of 'tunnel' to sneak away. But perhaps it wasn't easy to get out of his clutches, after all the man who took a liking to her was Markos Moreno! Valeria strode towards the bed silently while munching on her nails, well she was literally munching in panic and nervousness. The woman didn't want Markos to suspect her, Valeria knew if he sensed any kind of act from her the security around her would get tightened. 'f**k! I really had to barged in his, out of all damned guests I had to land in Markos Moreno' room...that too in a drunken state!' Valeria shook her head while Markos found his jeans and wore it, the shirt was adorned over his shoulders when the knock on the door snagged his attention. The lady nearly jumped in her seat suspecting that it might be Carla again, her assumption ran wild as the lady panicked again. "STOP!" Markos reached the door when she yelled at him to stop him but it was already too late. Five men clad in black suits from head to toe flashing like professional butlers, walked inside obediently. Each of them was holding something which was presented to Valeria to choose for her wedding. Markos turned towards her with a smug expression while Valeria was dumbfounded upon his preparations. "How did you even manage to do it in the matter of minutes?" Her voice held utter disbelief that Valeria was unable to swallow the blow of his flex. Whereas Markos was satisfied with her reaction which caused him happiness to be able to make the woman relieved from the fear of Carla, even if for a few moments. "Oh! Did you already forget that your husband-to-be is capable enough to pull this kinda magic trick?" His boasting made her giddy for the obvious reason that now Valeria could never take her words back.
