Brixton looked upon the players that joined sporting teams as if they were royalty, with the soccer team placed at the top tier. This is a school that prides itself on achievements and accolades both academically and athletically, lining the walls of the long hallway with huge, glass cabinets filled with golden trophies and the Bulldogs, being the state's high school soccer champion winners two years in a row, meant the players were elevated into popularity status among their peers.
I hadn't taken notice of it until Sebastian had me tag along to practise at lunch time on Monday, but looking around at the somewhat familiar faces of the team, who were warming up on the field before me, I realised that the majority of them were class captains for their respective years, including Seb.
