Claire was sitting alone at our table when I arrived at school, her head down as she read the novel we'd been assigned for English. A few tables away from ours, I spot Jupiter, sitting with Seb and the rest of the year 12 soccer players, and I can't help but notice how often Jupiter's head turns around to spy on Claire before quickly twisting back so as to not be caught by Sebastian.
I felt bad for Jupiter when she was drugged, I still do, but her behaviour towards Claire is nothing short of cruel and bordering on pathetic. She obviously wants to come talk to Claire, but is allowing Sebastian to get inside her head and convince her that Claire is now the enemy.
