To say I was nervous about tonight would be an understatement. What if I'd dicked her around too much and she now doesn't want me? I was taking a huge leap of faith, and it was foolish of me to just think she'd be on the other side, ready to catch me, after everything I'd put her through.
She was waiting out the front of her house when I pulled up, and I was grateful she was because the thought of facing an interrogation from Sam about where I was taking his only daughter had my already rattled nerves on edge.
