21 Aligning her heartbeat with the sound of her feet hitting the loose surface of gravel while taking deep breaths of sap-scented air was equal to any meditation session Adi had ever attempted. By the time she reached the village outskirts on her way back, her emotions were level and calm. She’d taken the events from the last few days, twisted and turned them in her mind, trying to put them into some kind of logical order.
