Chapter 2

Tyberias

I was out walking in the human town, it always seems so calm compared to problems back and the pack. I made a turn then I smelt the most amazing thing ever, its like a mixture of chocolate and strawberries and a hint of spring air, I just had to find out where it coming from. I picked my pace up a bit going towards the smell and next thing I know it hit me, literally, ran straight into my chest.

"Oomph" I grunted. I mean it didn't hurt but I just wasn't expecting it.

I looked down and the most beautiful pair of green eyes stared back at me. I knew she was terrified.

"I'm so sorry I should have been watching where I was going! Are you

ok?" she said. Her voice was like silk and next thing I know my wolf yelling in my head "MATE!" I couldn't have been happier. I smiled at her "I'm perfectly fine, are you ok?" I could see how scared she was. she gave me a small nod and tried to back away. "Whats you're name? I'm Tyberias"

"Ellie" she said so quietly that if it weren't for my wolf hearing I wouldn't have heard her. "Where are you running to in such a hurry?"

"Um n-nowhere in particular"

"Well I'm just out for a small walk would you like some company? I promise I won't bite" I had to get to know her I had to make her mine.

"Oh um well i.."

"If not I understand really but it is dark out and I just couldn't live with myself if I left you here alone. Where do you live ill walk you there. Hows that sound?" As soon as the words left my mouth I regretted it not just because it meant I'd have to leave her but because of the look of pure terror in her eyes.

Ellie

As soon as he asked where I lived my heart dropped. I cant go back there! I just can't what do I tell this complete stranger? I've already stood here like an i***t long enough just staring at him, I mean who wouldn't the guys gorgeous! Dark curly hair blue eyes tan skin!

"um if its all the same to you I'd rather just keep walking right now, but thank you for the offer"

"Anytime! Mind if I walk with ya? I could use the company"

What?! Did this gorgeous stranger just ask for MY company?! What has the world come to?

" Sure I guess" I said almost to quietly I wasn't even sure he had heard me but he started walking with me so I guess he had. We walked to the park and set down and just stared up at the stars. It was such a beautiful night all the stars could be seen.

"So Ellie... if you don't mind me asking why don't you want to go home?" Tyberias asked all of sudden and I couldn't help but just stare at him, I mean don't get me wrong I have felt this unexplainable comfort since I bummed into him that I just can't explain but how did he even know?

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I could just tell from how you acted when I had asked about where you live". He noticed? Nobody has ever noticed something so small before when it came to me.

"Uhm well let's just say I don't have a home and leave at that... at least for now if that's ok" I said barely above a whisper. How could I tell him my own father has abused me for years? He would definitely run away after that and well quit frankly I was enjoying his company.

"I understand, don't worry about it, if you ever want to talk about it just know I'm happy to listen.. Where are you staying right now then?"

"Nowhere really.... but its ok ill figure it out like I always do" I gave him the best smile I could muster up.

"Why don't you come stay with me for the night? I have plenty of room and at least that way I know you'd be safe, before you say no I promise nobody will hurt you or bother you. You could have your own room and stay for as long as you'd like"

I didn't know what to say I mean who offers a stranger to come stay with them? "I promise I'm not some kind of wierdo" well what other option did I have at this point?

"I would really appreciate it Tyberias, thank you so much. Itll just be for tonight" He stood up reached out to help me stand but never let go of my hand and we began walking to his house. Nothing could be worse then what I've been through... Right?
