Chapter 22It was another grey and miserable Tuesday morning when Michael Mulrooney arrived at his office. He was surprised to find Theresa O’Rourke waiting for him. Just one look at her extremely nervous state confirmed to him that something totally unexpected had occurred, because this certainly wasn’t the hard-bitten, streetwise prostitute he had recently got to know. He ushered the woman into his office and asked his secretary to put the kettle on. As they both sat down, he asked Theresa what was the nature of her visit.
