Luna Niki
I waited outside of Gabriella’s condo as the mover’s finish loading up the last of the boxes. I look over the offer I’ve received to purchase the property. As Luna it is my job to help ensure the outside business of the pack to ensure the packs future, as co-owner to Sunset Realty Group, and Sunset Moving Company, which employs pack members and humans alike, it brings great profitability to the pack. One of the more philanthropic adventures Peter and I have been doing is helping she-wolves, and women alike, escape abusive relationships, by relocating families free of charge. More recently, we’ve had a greater need for our services across state borders. Peter, as Alpha has created an open-door policy for wolves who are looking to join the pack, hence why our numbers constantly increase. I know that Gabby whole-heartedly believes in helping those who the Moon Goddess had not blessed.
I’m pulled from my thoughts when I hear a commotion inside the condo. I walked inside, and see two of our pack warriors trying to break up a fight.
“What’s going on in here?” I command, and use my aura.
“Luna.” I hear all five wolves in the front room say and bend their knee in submission.
“Do I have to repeat myself?”
“Luna, I was holding this last box, and they couldn’t sense my wolf.”
Before I could speak, I hear Linda, the Beta female calling out for me.
“In here.” I wait for Linda before I address what the warrior has informed me. “Clear the room, except you warrior Ross.” We wait for the rest of the group to take the last of the boxes, except for the one Ross is holding. “Now, please explain what the commotion was.”
“I was packing the box of items that Gabriella did not list in this box, when Jim said he couldn’t sense my wolf.”
“How is that possible Ross? You’re standing right here in front of me and I have no trouble.” Linda says.
“Ross, please hold the item that caused the others to say they couldn’t sense your wolf.”
“Luna, it was just this neck chain.”
Linda walks towards Ross, takes the chain necklace from him, and closes her eyes. When she opens them, she looks straight at me and said, “Contact Alpha, we need to warn the girls.”
I link my mate, “Pete, I need you at the condo.”
“Hello my beautiful mate, you need me to come knock out a quickie before we sell the place?”
“Peter, now is not the time. We found something at the condo.”
“What do you mean you found something at the condo? What did you find? I swear to the Goddess, if you found s*x toys…. There are just some things a father does not need to know.”
“Babe, I think Gabby has been spelled.”
“Ok, I’m at the pack, it should take me two hours to get to you, especially with LA traffic.”
I close the link, and look at Linda. “He’s on his way.”
“I linked Pat too, he will join Alpha on his way.”
I walk around the now empty condo, and stare out the window to gaze at the ocean. My wolf Denise links me “Don’t worry, we will not let anything happen to our pup. I will kill anyone who tries to harm her.”
My wolf has always been protective over our pups, even more so of Gabriella, especially when we lost Rob. “Yes Denise, we will. We won’t lose another pup.”
Alpha Peter
I am lost in thought as my beta, Pat and I drive up the 405 freeway on the way to our mates.
“Alpha, we’re almost to the 101 Freeway, we should be there in 45 minutes.”
“Thank you.”
I close my eyes to relax, and pray to the Goddess that whatever has my mate so wound up will be resolved by the time we get there. “Henry, can you sense Denise, and see maybe if our mate is incorrect? That our daughter is not spelled?”
My wolf huffs in response, “Our mate does not lie, and she does not overreact.”
I know he’s right, damnit. I open my eyes, and ask Pat to call our packs witch, to meet us at the condo. I let Pat know that I’m going to meditate to gain some clarity before we get up to Ventura.
I transport into Henry’s space, and sit with him as we stare into the ocean.
“I’m worried my nightmares will come true, and they will take Gabby from us.”
“I know Peter, me too.”
“Do you think the nightmare we had after Rob died is coming to fruition?”
“Which one is that? We’ve had a few since we lost him?
“The one where Gabby is taken from us, because she is the gifted wolf.”
“I know it’s been hard since Rob’s death, but our girl is strong. We knew she was gifted the moment our beautiful wife and mate gave birth to her. Just like Niki knows we’ve had the gift of to see the different capabilities of those who are close to us.”
“Then why couldn’t we sniff out Katie, or see what happened to Rob? Henry, what if someone’s trying to kill Gabby, and I can’t sense it? What kind of Alpha would I be, if I can’t protect our packs future?”
Pat shakes me, Alpha we’re here. I open my eyes, and see my mate rush to meet me at the car.
I open the door, and open my arms to embrace Niki.
“Hello beautiful.”
“Its happening again isn’t it?”
“What did Arabelle say?”
Before she can answer Arabelle walks out of the condo holding the gold chain.
“Hello Alpha.”
“Arabelle, what did you discover?”
“This definitely has a suppressant to it; it reeks of dark magic. Magic I haven’t sensed since..”
With that Niki pushes from my embrace, and faces Arabelle, “Say it.”
Pat and Linda both tense as we wait for the response.
Arabelle looks saddened, “Since I came to join the pack when looking for Robs murderer. Gabby is in danger, Alpha, Luna, its time to call Gabby home and lay everything out for her.”
“f**k” my mate says, and walks back into my arms.
“Arabelle, she’s in Hawaii with Sarah and two of our best warriors.” I say as I look at Niki.
“I know Alpha, but the sooner we speak to her the better. I would rather it be in person. Would you like me to teleport us to her? We need to ask her a few questions the sooner the better.”
“Let’s go back to the pack house and grab a change of clothes.” Niki says.
“Pat, please watch over the pack while we go and ruin our daughters’ vacation.” I say and look at my mate as she nods in agreement. Well ready or not Gabs, here we come.
