Chapter 104

1187 Words

Jax’s POV The night was cold. Dark. Perfect for killing. We surrounded Viper's house in the hills. A big place, modern, with walls and cameras and guards walking the perimeter. Tyler had found it. Tyler had set the formations. Tyler was running this op like he had something to prove. Which he did. "You sure about this?" Grizz asked me, low voice, as we watched the men take positions. "No." "Then why are we doing it?" I didn't answer. Because the truth was complicated. Tyler needed to feel useful. Needed to earn back trust. And the intel was good. Viper was inside. We knew it. But something felt wrong. Too easy. Too quiet. Tyler came over, crouched beside us. "We're ready. Front and back covered. Snipers on the hill. We go in hot, take out the guards first, then secure the house."
