Sienna's pov
I stared at Elias lacking the right words to say. He had gotten me speechless and no matter how much I tried to deny that fact, I really couldn't.
“Unable to speak now, hmm?" He asked, a smirk appearing on his lips. He always knew how to put me in a right spot I couldn't refuse.
He leaned in, giving me a small kiss on my lips before pulling away. I laid there, watching his movements. I mean I was taken aback by everything that had happened.
I recalled my aim of coming was for me to be able to talk to him about the constant meet up, but he made it clear to me tonight he wasn't willing to listen.
"I have something's to work on,” he stated, grabbing his clothes and throwing them on before he finally left the palace.
I stayed there alone for a while staring at the ceiling. It was too late to go anywhere and my body was too weak to stand.
I yawned, my eyes slowly welcoming the darkness. I knew there was a lot already going on, but now I needed to rest.
"Wake up…” I felt a kiss on my forehead and by the time I flashed my eyes open, he was towering over me.
I smiled, stretching my hands towards him to be able to get his attention. “You woke up quite early. What's wrong?"
He smirked. “I needed to surprise–”
“Ringggggg!"
My alarm burst throat the room and I rolled over in bed, groaning. It had all been a dream. I took in a deep breath and turned over when his voice cut through the room.
“I heard you're having an important test today. Aren't you?"
The moment he said that my eyes widened. I jolted up and turned toward him before my lips parted.
“You!"
I gritted my teeth grabbing my phone to see how many times my alarm rang without a response from me.
“You didn't wake me up and you knew I–”
He raised his brows. "I didn't know a thing. You can hurry up and get ready for class or choose to banter with me over something that's not so serious.”
"Not so serious? You're so annoying!” I yelled through gritted teeth and proceeded to rush to the bathroom.
I quickly showered and wrapped myself with a towel only to return to find some clothes on the bed.
"I figured you'd like them. I know you would.”
He said staring at me with a lustful gaze. I gasped, but didn't have time to speak to him. I simply grabbed the clothes and rushed to the bathroom and return fully dressed.
"You dressed up quickly. I wish you weren't in a rush so I could have you one more time before you leave.”
I glared at him but said nothing.
"You should take this for your taxi.” he handed me some dollar bills and watched me leave.
As soon as I left he house, I was overwhelmed with panic. It seemed time was against me because it ticked so fast.
"Damn it!”
I tried to hail a taxi but the driver didn't even stop.
After about ten minutes, I was finally able to get a taxi. I tried my best to be able to get to class on-time but unfortunately I missed the test.
Eden waved for me to see her and then she pointed to the empty seat around her. I swallowed, but didn't dare move. The professor hadn't given me the permission to go seat yet.
“You're late."
I nodded. “Yes sir I ran into don't kind of emergency. I promise it won't ever happen again."
He scoffed, lowering his glasses before waving his hands for me to get a seat.
As soon as it had the oppurtunity, but rushed to go sit with Eden.
"Girl, I gave you like 10missed calls. Where the hell were you?”
I swallowed. How could I tell her I spent the night at Professor Elias place. I really couldn't.
"I, I went to clear my head and I over slept. I don't know how but I know I'm in big trouble right?”
I asked hoping she would give me a glimmer of hope. However, she didn't.
“Yeah you are. You've been late to classes lately!" She whispered, her tone hard.
She wasn't wrong. This was the second time I arrived late class and it was unlike me.
“I know I am. What do you think I should–"
I trialed off.
“Shhh he’s looking at us. We'll talk after class.”
After the class, I turned to Eden. "What should I do. I mean I'm so scared and I've never even spoken to this professor before. I heard he's strict.”
She nodded. "Of course. The reason why I called you almost wanting to run your phone battery down. Maybe go to him. I'm sure he'll hear you out. You could make some kind of excuse like your dad being sick or maybe your engagement whatever it was. I'm sure he'll understand.”
I nodded with a smile and she hugged me, tapping my back to calm my nerves.
"I have to go home now. I have some things to do today. Sorry I can't stay.”
I nodded with understanding of course I knew she wouldn't be able to stay with me on this one today. I messed up big time and Elias was to blame.
“I understand." I stated then she walked away.
I had never felt this alone before. My heart drummed hard and I felt like a lot of things were off.
I wondered what would happen if I go to him, but I didn't waste time.
I muttered some words of encouragement to myself before I finally headed to his office.
“Come in…” i heard his voice from the other side. I swallowed, feeling my heart about to leave my body.
He was nose-deep, going through some files and didn't even give me audience
"Good afternoon professor, I came to–”
"You missed the test right?”
I nodded. "Yes sir, and I'll like to retake it sir if you don't mind."
I tried to sound as humble as possible.
He raised his head for a split second then he hummed and went back to the files he stared at, making my heart hammer more.
“I might be able to help you with that and you don't have to retake the test."
I felt a burden being lifted off my shoulders but it returned instantly the moment he mentioned that.
Why was he helping me, what did he want?
