CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE Tara paced up and down in her room, unaware of the surveillance team who were watching her. She had to think of a way to get out. She looked at her watch. Twelve minutes had gone since her call. She picked up her rucksack and grabbed a chair. Standing on the chair, she pulled out a small disposable lighter and held it under the fire alarm. She winced in pain as the thing began to get almost too hot to hold. There was the loud shriek of a fire alarm. She smiled and tossed the red-hot lighter onto the floor, just as the door suddenly burst open. The security detail gathered the two women and hurried them out towards the back stairs, knowing full well that the elevators would be shut off automatically.
