fury. "Jeff, I will not be hearing from you again." He snarled.
"What, do you think she is your soulmate?" Jeff Alpha stammered on. "Jeff, I warn you—are you in love with a useless piece of garbage?"
"Or maybe tonight you want her all to yourself!"
"My mate is her!" A subdued silence descended among the spectators as Alpha Derek let forth a growl.
"She is my partner in crime," Alpha Derek added. "And you have no right to even breathe the same air as her, let alone talk to her or touch her."
Goddess, oh!
From Elle's perspective
After a few more seconds, Alpha Derek let go of him and released his hold on his neck.
"Comrade..." Alpha Jeff gulped and spluttered.
"How..."
Alpha Derek looked at me and no one else except me, turning away from Alpha Jeff, who was still gasping for air. I had to force myself to look him in the eye.
He stared at me for a considerable amount of time, his eyes joining the oppressive ones of the spectators. Then he started to get closer.
As he approached me, my heart pounded in my chest. He reached where I was standing and tightened his grip, slipping his hand all the way to the back of my neck.
"Remain still." He snarled.
And he tore off the leather collar that had been around my neck for five whole years with just his bare hand.
As long as I could remember, the collar had bound me to Alpha Jeff.
I felt calm and relieved to be in Alpha Derek's company as soon as he threw the shattered leather collar aside. With a single gesture, I felt reassured as if all of my anxieties and problems had vanished. Warm and wonderful, his fingertips lingered at the back of my neck. How was this man treating me?
But the moment was fleeting because he suddenly withdrew his hands and began to ask, "Are you okay? I said, "Are you burt?" to which he merely nodded and shook his head in response. This left me feeling as though I was missing a significant piece of myself, and all I wanted was for him to touch me once more to fill the emptiness.
He glanced at me, as if he wanted to make sure.
my assertions. I looked aside shyly to count my toes, feeling the heat of his gaze on my cheeks.
He looked back to Alpha Jeff, who was gradually rising to his feet, after making sure I was alright and unharmed."
Blood spurted from Alpha Jeff's mouth and onto the ground. He turned to face Alpha Derek while using the back of his hand to wipe his bleeding mouth.
"Derek, I shall always remember this." His eyes boiled with anger as he growled. "Take my word for it!"
Putting his hands in fists, Alpha Derek appeared to be restraining himself from making a commotion once more.
"Why she, of all people?" With insanely large eyes, Alpha Jeff let forth a howl.
"What makes you shielding her? Why did you reject our friendship for her? "Why?"
Jeff, I do not need to justify myself to you. Derek Alpha declared. "However, I will never permit scum like you to have any contact with her."
Alpha Jeff scowled, showing blood-stained fangs. "She is nothing more than the lowest kind of vermin."
"Don't," snarled Alpha Derek.
"Speak to her like that!"
"All well, then, out!" Jeff let out a start and gestured to a neighbouring exit with his finger. "I am leaving my pack house right now!'s I kept a close eye on Alpha Derek and noticed that he seemed unfazed by the threats made by his friends. Rather, he scoffed loudly and arched an eyebrow in mocking. "Jeff, I would want to see you at your worst. I hope that even seeing me walk back into your pack will suffice. My friend, please never disturb me again. Good night.
For a long while, Alpha Man looked at his companion, and I could practically feel the rage washing over him.
"This is not the end!" He growled. "That is my slave, and this is my pack house? You traitor, I make all the decisions around here!
As he answered, Alpha Derek's jaw tensed. "Jeff, go to hell."He took hold of my hand and gently dragged me away from the throng.
Someone parted the path so we could leave as we strolled down the long hall. From the corner of my eye, I noticed that most of them were still staring at us, speechless. I could only speculate as to the countless questions racing through each of their heads, but for now my speculation would have to wait because I had a bazillion of my own.
How come the Moom Goddess had chosen me to be Alpha Derek' mate? The Moon Goddess has brought my own destiny to coincide with that of Alpha Jeff and all the women in his pack.
With Alpha Jeff's hand in mine, we continued our stroll in quiet.
When he arrived at his chamber door, he opened it and ushered me inside. Without saying anything to me, he made his way directly for the loo as soon as we got inside.l I assumed the role of a maid and stood silently in the centre of the room, my thoughts going over the last few minutes in slow motion. Everything seemed like a nightmare from which I would soon awaken. It was difficult to forget Alpha Jeff's threats or the rage in his eyes. But for some reason, having Alpha Derek around gave me a feeling of security and even love.
When I suddenly looked up, I noticed Alpha Jude standing a few metres away with the restroom door swinging idly behind him. There had been a loud squeak."
His long, raven-dark hair was wet and hung around his face like limp drapes; all he was wearing was a towel. With avarice, my gaze swept up his bare chest, which was composed of firm muscle ridges, his muscular biceps, and finally his face.N
Even though he was not grinning, he had a warm glow in his eyes. And I felt a tranquilly I had never known before, since I had lost my entire pack to Alpha Magon.
I saw as Alpha Ferris's mouth opened and he began to speak. "What is your name?" With a voice as strong as lead and as soft as feathers, he posed the question.
