With silent footsteps, he started walking like he knew every crook and corner of the wood. I followed him closely, feeling much safer now. I never even questioned in my mind about where he was taking me. Why and when had I started trusting this man so much?
Xee remained quiet and walked silently. His footsteps weren't even making any sound as he padded on the ground. After a few minutes of hushed walking, he took me to a clearing and then finally turned around. His intense gaze didn't waver from me as he took off his robe and threw it over a lower branch.
