Boring holes into my body with his scorching gaze, Xee trudged over to the table I was seated on. He placed the tray of food in front of me and settled down beside me.
I was fully aware of the way he was ogling me but for some reason, I couldn’t lift my gaze to his. It was so intense, so igniting. Avoiding eye contact, I glanced at the steam dancing above the hot food and said awkwardly, “Looking so yummy.”
I could hear the smirk in his voice as he said, “Yummiest, if I may say.”
My barrier broke down at that as a laugh erupted out of me and I said dramatically, “Is the all-mighty, most powerful, and ruthless Lycan King flirting? Seriously?!”
