Nirvana's POV The next morning, I walked to campus feeling drained of all my energy. I had barely slept a single hour. My mind kept replaying Adrian's indifferent expression and the brutal way he walked out of the kitchen last night. My body still carried the phantom weight of his hands gripping my thighs. I could still taste him on my lips. He had kissed me with such desperate hunger, devouring me against the granite counter, only to turn around and treat me like a stranger the following second. The hot and cold routine was driving me insane. I pulled the sleeves of my oversized sweater over my knuckles and rubbed my tired eyes. I needed a distraction from the constant, dull ache in my chest. I scanned the vicinity and spotted Leo standing by the stone benches near the main library.
