“You’re already up? — you don’t even have school today.” My mother asked surprised, as I walked in to the kitchen 05.30 in the morning.
“Well, I got practice with the team.” I stated with a shrug, but the truth was, that I hadn’t been able to sleep.
Just the day before, I had received a call from one of the scouts from Wake Forest University, who had one of the best soccer teams in the whole country, he was gathering the best soccer players, around the whole country and had offered me a scholarship for the next year at their college and a chance to make a contract with one of the best soccer clubs in the whole country. It sounds like a dream, right?
Well, it is.. but it would take, that I would leave this town and fly all the way across the country.
