"You lied to cover up for that mutt?!" His voice disbelieving "why? Why would you cover up for him?! Did you run away to avoid Maverick finding the Mutt?" Every word he uttered was dripping with anger. He was so angry and disappointed that I cowered away from him
"Azariah, you are scaring me" I cried in fear. That seemed to have made him realize what he was doing because he stopped. He left me down there on the floor as he ran upstairs probably to his room
I heaved a huge sigh of relief when he left the room.
