Chapter 9He’d assumed by night’s end he’d be going home with one of the members of the Cane family, glad that it turned out not to be back to the Ocean’s Breeze with Cilla. Still, that didn’t mean he was content being with Demetri in the apartment above the Shore Thing. Not that it was Demetri’s fault. They’d not spoken much after the three of them had shared a series of shots. The night had grown its darkest, morning was closer at this point. Tomorrow was here.
