Estella’s POV
‘Hello, Estella. It has been a while.’
My knees wobbled as the voice echoed in my head, as loud and clear as my own. It spread to every inch of my body, filling it with warmth and familiarity, like being wrapped in my favorite blanket I thought I’d lost forever.
‘My name is Bella,’ my wolf continued, undisturbed by my stunned silence. My vision blurred, and I found myself standing in my mind again, but this time, there was no chasm, no gap keeping us apart. My wolf circled me, brushing her fur against me with a low, pleased sound that was almost a purr.
‘It’s real, you’re real,’ I whispered, reaching a hand to touch her. She stopped, letting me bury my fingers in her thick hide as tears of joy burned my eyes.
