GRACE POV I pulled my scarf tighter around my neck and shuddered inside my coat. Silly me. Silly, idiotic, pride-driven me who had chosen style over warmth this morning because apparently, I thought I was starring in a Vogue winter issue and not living in the Scottish Highlands in late October. Now I was standing there, freezing to death, waiting for the damn bus that was taking its sweet time to show up. Dad’s car hadn’t wanted to start this morning, the engine coughing twice before giving up on life completely. Which meant the bus was my only chance to reach the train station—unless I wanted to move my trip to Edinburgh to another day. Ha. Not going to happen.
