Chapter Sixteen
"Romey and Jordan sitting in a tree."
Romey ignored the singsong voice trailing behind her. Unlike other eldest siblings, she hadn’t had a year or more to herself before Jules had intruded on her only child status. Her twin had been born the same day and had begun annoying her only moments after her appearance.
"K I S S I N G."
"Really, Jules? Are we twelve?"
Romey had more important matters to tend to. Thinking about the kiss she’d just shared with her husband had to wait a few minutes. Even though she was having trouble pushing the memory down. She could still feel the press of his lips against hers. The rough texture of his thumb on her cheek. The buttery taste of him lingered on her tongue.
