Terry's POV 10.5

894 Words
Her wolf is stunning. I can't help but admire what I'm looking at. and to think that the Goddess matched me with this beautiful creature. I’m not sure what I’ve done in a previous life to be given such an honor. Although, as I'm studying at her from head to tail, trying to take in the beauty of this creature that's in front of me right now, I can't help but think she looks a lot like the wolf, I've read stories about as a child. The same stories that my parents said were nothing more than childhood stories, something written to entertain children. Mostly, I’m so proud of her right now. Not only did she challenge Angel, or rather, accepted Angel’s challenge; but she easily and swiftly shifted into her wolf on instincts alone. Such a magnificent woman, such an instinctive creature. Without realizing the ramifications of what she’s done, she’s let every wolf here know and understand she won't be backed into a corner, nor will she back down from a fight. The fierce passion that she’s shown while fighting Angel, is but a tiny taste of what's to come for anyone that attempts to ruin her safety; and if I’ve come to understand anything about my beautiful Maritza, it’s that she’ll protect her family and loved one’s more fiercely than she would protect herself. That being said, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with.  I know that she still has many questions about her extended family, and where her parents origins are. I’ll do my best to help her find those answers. Not because I want to know as well, in fact I do want to know. But because I know it ’s important to her to find out these answers. I’m greatly hoping that Liam will be able to help me find some of those answers, or at least point us in the right direction to search. Unfortunately, Liam is busy with something else at the moment, and I have to wait until he’s completed before we can meet. I'm hopeful that we’ll be able to meet up at our arranged time. He's usually pretty good with keeping his word and maintaining all the appointments that we've had since I’ve become Alpha, so I’m not too worried about our meeting. I am a little, make that, extremely interested in what he will have to say about Maritza. Between her family's history, her upbringing, along with the fact that her whole family has been basically in hiding since before she or her cousins were even born; makes me extremely curious about who her parents are.  Something inside my gut is telling me that not only are her parents the long-lost royalty, but that she’s the person that the stories refer to. It can’t be a coincidence that her family originated from Africa, that her parents seem to have the energy of something more, that she seems even stronger than her parents. Sadly I’ve searched, but haven’t been able to find any of the books that will give me any information. Hopefully, Liam can help me with all these questions and more, I pray to the Goddess that I’ll be able to help Maritza find the truth and answers she needs. If I’m honest with myself, I have to admit that I’m beyond ecstatic that my beautiful queen put down her challenger so easily and swiftly. The only question I have now is what punishment she’ll hand out to Angel. I guess I’m going to have to wait and find out. For the moment, I’ll keep trying to find answers for myself and continue to learn more about who my queen is and what makes her tick. For the moment, I have other concerns that I need to figure out. Like, who is this group of rogues that arrived at my land looking like they’ve been fleeing for their lives? Who are they running from? Where did they come from? What made them come to my pack? And what made them think or believe they would be granted asylum within my borders? Just another coincidence, and I don’t much believe in coincidences. Something is going on here, and something is telling me that all of these events are connected . I just need to figure out how and why.  1) we have Maritza and her family living under the radar and in secret, while in plain sight.  2) Jenny and her family, or lack there-of, for that matter.  3) this new group of rogues that just happened to end up on my pack lands in various states of stress, fatigue, and injuries; obviously running from something or someone. I have an intriguing puzzle to figure out. I’m not sure exactly how to turn this inside out and make some sense of all this, but I do know that I'll turn every rock over to find the answers that both Maritza and I seek. If nothing else, she should know where her family comes from. And where her roots extend from. That's something I have always believed. You can't know where you're going and what you should be pursuing if you don't know where you're coming from. While I must admit to myself, that her parents won't be too thrilled with me, I'm determined to help Maritza find her past and who she is, as well as where she stands in life.
