The Welcome

Naina was all dolled up in a pink coloured floor length frock with loose hair and minimal makeup. She was busy running about the resort that was booked for her sister's wedding and making sure no one had any issues. She was making sure that the guests got their rooms with the respective side of the resort as half of it was for the elders and the othet for the kids. It was booked completely for 10 days, 2days before the wedding for preps, 5days for all the wedding events and three days after that exclusively only for the kids and newly married to form strong bonds.

*NAINA'S POV*

All the guests were busy settling in their rooms and we in welcoming them. I was running about here and there. The wedding events strt from the day after. I saw the grooms family coming and immediately informed mom. We had to do a welcome for them according to the rituala although the wedding is done combinedly. The band ppl strtd playing as the grooms family were walking in while few of my cousins were throwing petals at them.I, my bestie Shruthi and my first cousin Nisha were handing over water to everyone with a smile plasterd on our face while uttering "welcome" to all.

My smile faded when i saw someone. I knew he would be there but stilll. I went to him and did one of my fake smiles and said "welcome" while handing him a jar of water to wash his legs. He wasn't paying attention and my legs and hands were aching due to all the chores i have done from mrng. I was getting impatient now, i couldn't even read his expression due to his stupid goggles.

I looked at Dhruv with glare who was talking to Shruthi(flirting maybe) nd he gave me a puzzled look, to which i showed him his bestie who was standing like a statue. He nundged him and then he removed his goggles and looked at me with out reaching for the water. Now im angry so i did the only thing that came to my mind, gave the jug to Dhruv and left from there to others and got back to my work.

*Evening *

I was so busy till now that i didn't get time even to eat. Now i jst need some food but before that i need a good bath.

I went to my room freshend up and wore a simple knee length frock and came out and collided into the 2 ppl whom i didn't want to deal with ever,none other thanThe great Raksh and his Meghana.

I held my head high and greated them with fake enthusiasm to be polite.

"hey Meghana how have u been, it has been long since we met" i said try to avoid Raksh for timebeing coz im still not comfortable around him.

"very well, how have u been, and how are you studies going on?" she also asked with fake intrest while snaking her hands around Raksh.

I knew i cant avoide him more now. So, "never better and yaa ill be graduating nxt year. And its been ages since we also met Raksh" I said the last part turning to him

He jst gave a curt nod and said "yeah"

'i have to leaveeeeeee nowww' i thought.

"We should catchup soon, but for now i have to go, im pretty hungry, see u both at the food stalls"

Saying this i left.

As soon as i came to the area where food stalls were kept i could hear my stomach grumble. I immediately spotted Dhruv and Shruthi near the panipuri stall. O e thing i made sure of is that every events evng food had the panipuri stall. I went near them and  took a spoon full of bhelpuri(a mix of onions, tomatoes, few spices with baked rice)and ate it she gave me a sturn look and i gave her a goofy smile. She scolded me for not taking care of myself and skipping meals. I looked at Dhruv for hlp.

"humm! Try this chat its really tasty" he said while feeding me a spoon full of it. And i smiled and went to order for my self a plate of papdi chat so that three of us can share the three dishs.

While i was waiting Dhruv was feeding me from both the plates  and eating simultaneously while Shruthi also was eating from his plate as well as hers. We finished his chaat before mine came and he started sulking and both of us girls started laughing at his pout.

I got my plate and started feeding him and eating along with shruthi.

*all of this was beimg watched by a pair of keen eyed person trying to control his self*

we then went to the buffet for main course.  I and shruthi filled our plates with different dishes and went to the table where Dhruv was sitting with a man and a girl waving at us we started walking to them. When we were halfway through i saw that they were none othet then Raksh and his tail.

I saw if we could sit anywhere else but to my luck only that and other table where the grooms frnds were pretty drunk so we made ur selves to the table.

It was exactly a table for five and the 2 seats left were between Raksh and Dhruv. I looked hopefully at Shruthi and she understood and sat nxt to the monster. Raksh was looking into his phone and typing away smtng while Meghana was trying to grab his attention. I placed my plate on the table and sat next to Shruthi.

"I Love u" i said to her but Dhruv reacted a little loud for my liking "i love u too" while shruthi jst whisper the same at once. All the 4of us say him at the same time. I and shruthi smiled a toothy grin while Meghana smirked but before i could read his face Raksh left the table saying he had to make a call.

We finished our dinner amd headed back to the rooms, my room was cncted to shruthi's and opp to Dhruvs whose is connected to Rakshs room. So we strted walking towards our room while meghana went to hers which was jst in the nxt block of ours.

I went inside and Chang into my shorts. When i was jst abt to sleep my phone rang. "come to dhruvs room Nowww" Shruthi yelled and i was sure they were fighting again.

I went and saw that they were fighting on the songs for the Sangeet i hit my head and told them that we can do a combined dance and also that we have lot of work to do the nxt day and songs can be selected tomorrow. And i also had to make a promise that i will hlp them sort yhe songs out. Shruthi gave Dhruv a glare and left. My attire was dishalfed as i was trying to stop their cat fight and my hair was all messed. I stayed there for a little and discussed about the plans for the wedding Nd prmised that we would really do a groupie. It was actually the hobby of 3 of us to jst go and dance in the empty room in dhruvs apartment when ever we are stressed and the others would join eventually so we dint have to bother abt the practice.

I left at around 11:45frm his room and bumped into someone on my way to my room. I actually thought it to be a wall but soon realized it wasn't and was none other than THE GREAT RAKSH GHATTAMANENI. He held me when i was abt to fall from my waist and our eyes were looking deep into each other. We jst stayed like that staring, me im his arms, my arms around his neck, faces mere inches apart feeling each others breath.

Wait, whattt this bought back my senses and i pushed him away and clearef my head

"i think u like me to enter u or to get stuck with me forever , that shld be the only reasons u collide a lot with me." he said

"u wish" i said while rolling my eyes.

"then what are u doing here at this while when i saw u leave a long time ago to sleep" he asked with a smirk. I wanted to snatch that smirk frm his face.

"i waz going to my room frm Dhruv's"

Smtng changed in his eyes and the smirk was long gone as soon as he heard it. He gave me a hard glare. I could see anger and smtng in his eyes hurtttt maybe, but yyyyy

"U should go sleep, u should be tired" he said stressing the word tired with his voice full of venom. I dint understand what his prblm was,i wanted to ask but before i could he left and entered into his room with a loud bang to the door.

I shrugged and went to my room and slept awaiting the nxt days works.Hoping every thing would go well as planned.......
