Chapter 10 Thunder cracked above the bridal shop, causing Heaven to flinch. Everything in the vicinity vibrated, from the dress racks to the windows, even the surrounding energy. More unsettling was the wind and the way it whipped the rain against the building. Each drop sounded like pebbles hitting the glass instead of water. Her belly fluttered as a chill crept over her skin. The sound of thunder rolling across the sky frightened her. This storm didn’t feel right. Tension coursed through the shop from the other patrons. If it were just her sisters and Delia, she could handle the sensation. This time, there were too many people. The more the storm raged on, the sicker she became.
