Heaven gripped the couch cushion, hoping she wouldn’t pass out again. This new ability weakened her, or so she assumed. Whenever she had the chance, she would ask Delia what kind of effect her abilities could have on her. For now, she had to stay awake and prevent Layne from confessing about the kiss.
