Everyone headed to the beach in several cars. Hans invited Renee to ride with him.
As they drove along the coastal road, Hans began. "Renee, about me not being allergic to Katrina, I only discovered it recently..."
"This is a work event. I don't want to talk about personal matters," Renee interrupted, turning her head to look out the window.
Hans' displeasure was evident in the way his brows furrowed and his lips tightened.
