Chapter 52
Lucifer walked into Katherine’s room with a small box in hand, wrapped with a bow. Just yesterday, she’d been discharged from the hospital, and ever since then, it’d been bed rest only. She wasn’t allowed to go anywhere on her own, even though she was still weak and didn’t really have anywhere to go.
She flipped through the pages of a book, her back resting against the headboard of the bed comfortably as she seemed to be engrossed in the pages. She hadn’t even noticed when Lucifer walked into the room, despite his louding.
Her head snapped up once she heard someone clearing their throat. The familiar blue eyes looked down at her, and she placed her book face-down on the bed beside her, adjusting her posture. “Oh, Lucifer…”
