“What are you doing here?” Lucifer asked, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the man before him. He tensed up immediately, sitting up in the bed. Two guards of Lucifer followed Marco in, standing attentively, with their firearms hidden. Why was it that Marco was always following him around? Now it was feeling like more of an infatuation—one that unnerved him.
Clearing his throat, the doctor picked up his things and left the room giving the two men their privacy. There was no need for him to be there, prying into their personal matters.
As soon as he left, Marco spoke, “Ah, I mean no harm.” He rose both arms, in defensiveness chuckling, “I just came to see my lady.” He gestured towards Katherine with a small smile.
