Jay and I had finally got home from the best holiday we had ever had. We were both tanned. Although I was half Italian, I was darker than my dad. Yeah, yeah, I know he's lived in the UK for like forever. But he still had his tanned skin. I mean I was close to olive skinned and almost chocolate brown when I arrived back in the UK to be met by my parents. Jay was not ecstatic about returning. He liked Paris but we both agreed it was way overpriced, and we knew we had to return home sooner or later to begin college at the beginning of September.
