Stefano
"What the hell is going in here?"
Shit.
We looked over to the door heading out of the dining room to the kitchen.
"Oh hey, mom."
"Where's Gian?"
"He's gone off in one of his dramatic tantrums." No way was I going to tell her the truth. We'd kept it silent for this long.
Suddenly the door burst open and in came Siena, dramatic as ever. She was the only one of us who got on with our brother.
"Where’s Gian?" Siena asked as she walked into the dining room. searching for him.
"Upstairs in his room honey."Mom replied
She looked around the table at us looking disgusted at us. "What the hell have you done this time?"
"Nought "
"I smell bullshit"
"Siena language."
"No mom, this has gone on long enough, they are grown-ass men picking on an innocent kid."
Shit, she's going to land us straight in it.
"He's not innocent though is he Se?"
She glared at Christian.
"We were only stating the truth, Se."
"And what is that exactly Stefano?"
"He's incapable of doing anything 'cause he's he's."
"Say it. I dare you."
"He's disabled!"'
"God you're so shallow, all of you! He has autism. He didn't ask to be brought into this f****d up world!"
"SEINA !" Mom gasped, shocked
"Let her continue mom, I'd like to hear what she has to say."
Mom nodded defeated.
Siena glared at her all of us.
Seina
I couldn't understand for the life of me why they were treating him differently than me; I had disabilities too.
"Mom and dad decided to keep him. You should be grateful to have a brother like him. You all disgust me."
"He's disabled."
"I have disabilities too, asshole, yet you treat him differently why?"
"Cause he'll never get better."
"Neither will I. I'll never get better either. I'll always have what I have too."
"You have minor learning difficulties Se, you can get around them, he can't get around autism."
"You disgust me all of you. I hope you all rot in hell, but hell is too good for all of you. You should all die, unhappy."
"SEINA!' Mom warned.
"What the hell do you mean by that?"
"Take a look around, you're all pathetic. If Stefano doesn't get his act together he'll end up with Ryleigh divorcing him, Christian is a complete t**t. God knows why Keira is still with him, oh I forgot you got her up the duff so she can't leave, which she will one day, I promise you. AND YOU!" I said glaring angrily at Lucus. "YOU! DISGUST ME LUCAS." I Hissed. 'YOU'RE THE WORST OF ALL. DOES SHE KNOW THAT YOU'RE HAVING AN AFFAIR?'
His face dropped. "That's right Lucus I know, so if you carry on your s**t I'll tell her everything. YOU don't deserve a girl like her anyway, 'cause you don't know how to keep your d**k in just like your father!"
His fist shot across my face.
I looked at him wiping the blood off my face, punching him square in the jaw. "Truth hurts doesn't it Lucas? Get your f*****g act together and do the right thing by her. Either leave her or tell her the f*****g truth or I will!"
"You wouldn't dare!"
"f*****g watch me!" She said, before storming out.
Aubrey
"Seina, where are you going it's supper?"
"Blame those assholes Dad." She said, leaping up the stairs.
I walked into the dining room no one noticed cause I was still as good as I was in my youth, disguising my steps until absolutely necessary. "What the hell is going on?"
Everyone jumped and turned.
"Dad."
"WELL?"
"She started it."
"How many times do we have to go through this? She's close to Gian stop f*****g winding her up!"
"We only stated the truth."
"How many f*****g times do we have to go through this? Your mother and I both knew the risks and we chose to take them."
"You should’ve drowned him at birth!"
I grabbed Lucas by the scruff of his neck and slammed him up the wall. How dare he talk about my boy like that. "HOW DARE YOU! HE'S YOUR BROTHER! YOU SHOULD TREAT HIM WITH RESPECT. THE ONLY ONE THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN DROWNED AT BIRTH SHOULD'VE BEEN YOU LUCAS! YOU'RE f*****g PATHETIC. YOU BROKE EVERY PROMISE YOU MADE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY CAUSE YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER! A f*****g w***e!"
"AT LEAST I'M NOT f*****g DISABLED!"
I TIGHTENED MY GRIP AROUND HIS NECK. "HOW DARE YOU! I TOOK YOU ON AS MY OWN AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!"
"I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE AUBREY, TAKE A LOOK AROUND. YOUR BIOLOGICAL SONS ARE NO DIFFERENT."
"YOU ALL DISGUST ME!"
"YOU NEED TO TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF AUBREY. HE DISGUSTS YOU JUST AS MUCH AS US!"
"THAT'S BULLSHIT! I LOVE MY SON TO THE MOON AND BACK!"
"WELL, YOU CERTAINLY DON'T ACT LIKE IT. YOU ACT LIKE HE'S A FAILURE!"
I let go of his neck. Do I see Gian like that? I don't think so. I may treat him differently than the rest because he's younger and needs guidance, but I don't treat him any differently. I hope I don't.
I love all my sons. I'm so disappointed in them right now. I didn't bring them up like this. I brought them up to respect everyone no matter their gender, s****l orientation, colour or disability. "GET OUT!" I ROARED.
"Honey."
"NOT TORINO! THIS HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH! I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT THEM RIGHT NOW. GET OUT AND DON'T COME BACK UNTIL YOU'VE ALL GROWN f*****g UP AND LEARNT HOW TO RESPECT YOUR BROTHER GO!"
They all pulled themselves up, heads bowed as they left.
"We're sorry dad."
"Say it as you mean it, leave!"
They all walked out slamming the front door behind them.
"Aubrey."
"Don't Tornio, we'll talk later. I'm going to see how our son is."
She bowed her head and nodded. "This isn't your fault Torino," I said, kissing her forehead.
I left the room and went upstairs. It sounded like Seina was with Gian in his room. "I'm sorry about this Gian, I just don't understand why they hate you so much?"
"They always will, Se. I'm the black sheep, I always will be. Mom tries her best and dad doesn't give a s**t. He never sticks up for me, it's like he agrees with them. I'm a worthless piece of s**t that will never get anywhere."
"Dad loves you, Gian, he just has a hard way of showing it."
"Maybe they're right, I should never have been born."
"Don't say that Gian."
"Why not, they're right. I'm nothing but the black sheep of this family. I was doomed from birth."
"Then prove them wrong."
"How Se? I'll never be as powerful as them."
'You have a heart Gian, unlike them you care."
"I can't, Se, I can't do this anymore. I don't even want to be here anymore."
"Don't say that Gian. Prove them wrong, prove them all wrong."
"Even Dad?"
"Especially dad "
I could hear the tears in her voice she was so desperately trying to talk through them, that much it hurt. I couldn't listen anymore. Had I truly failed as a father?
The last thing I heard as I walked away was. "Please don't leave me, Gian. You can beat this, you will prove them all wrong and when you do I'll be by your side as you laugh in their faces and say I told you so."
