Sandra signaled a waiter again and they all ordered for their food. They drank the champagne and ate their food when it arrived, talking every now and then. Gradually, all of them were so engrossed and happy, including Sylvia and Alex, that they forgot they had almost had an argument.
“We’ll be going to the Beach from here. Want to come along?” George asked.
“Hmm... that sounds appealing,” Sylvia replied and nudged Jaden lightly.
She was doing it again – leaving it to him to decide. “Yeah, we’d love to go.”
Sylvia leaned towards Jaden and whispered, “Was that also where we were going next?”
He gave a short laugh. “Nah.”
Sylvia smiled and straightened.
“Hope you guys are not planning anything evil?” Sandra asked.
“No, we weren’t.”
Then, Alex, George, and Jaden got up to go and pay
