"We messed up big time," I admitted, sinking into my seat and covering my face with my hands.
My foolish pride had gotten the best of me, and now I had hurt Ava, my mate. I felt too ashamed even to attempt to mind-link her. I didn't know what to say. I could feel the extent of Ava's hurt through our bond.
"You need to work on controlling your temper," Jack scolded me, frustration evident in his voice. "Gloria won't even let me mind-link her. She's blocking me."
"I can't believe I brought up Brenda," Ace said, his gaze fixed on his hands. "
Ava's blocking me, too. Liam, can you please mind-link them and bring Ava and Gloria back here so we can apologize?" Ace implored, the three of us turning to Liam, begging for his assistance.
