"I've got all of the documents. I'm on my way to your office," I mind-linked my brother Jack.
I couldn't help but wonder why he was so invested in these old war documents. Or why he would disturb me during Ava’s heat.
"My office is unlocked. Thanks, bro," Jack replied through the mind-link.
Jack’s voice sounded gloomy. I reached Jack’s office and opened the door, instantly sensing the immense stress he was under.
Being twins, I could always tell when Jack was on the verge of breaking down. And sometimes, I was usually the only one that could help.
"What's wrong? Is it because of the argument between you and Gloria? I'll find her and try to smooth things over. Everything will be alright," I assured him, placing the files on Jack's desk.
