Seven Years Later
/-Red-/
The last few years have been tough for me. After my pack went to war with the Crescent Blade pack, a group of wolf hunters attacked at the same time.
There were several fatalities and many died. Only a few managed to escape. I didn't know if my parents were among the few or even Allan.
My aunt didn't let me take the risk of finding out. She believed if my parents were alive, they knew where to find me.
She had a point, so for seven years, I waited, hoping they would return, but nothing.
“Mommy!” I snapped out of my thoughts, startled by the little human clinging to my foot.
After I arrived at my aunt's, it didn't take long for her to discover I was pregnant. I did everything to convince her to let me take it out, even going as far as sharing the humiliating experience, but she didn't budge.
A smile crossed my face. I was happy I listened to her. It was one of the best decisions of my life.
“What is it, Honey? You want more pancakes?” I asked, but he shook his head. I stared at the huge emerald eyes shimmering with mischief. They reminded me of a familiar pair.
Only that, instead of the misleading innocent smile, his was a cold smirk with undisguised cruelty.
I blinked, shaking off the memory to focus on my son.
“Tell me, then. What has gotten you excited?”
He mumbled something inaudible and stretched his hand at the open door. It slammed so hard that the surrounding glass shattered.
I grabbed his hands, eyes bulging with shock.
“What… how…” I couldn't get the words out. It shouldn't have surprised me because, in the last few months, he had been displaying strange abilities, but it got me worried at the same time, because it wasn't the usual werewolf ability.
To the best of my knowledge, my breed was a pure werewolf. Maybe it had something to do with our father's heritage or something. I didn't even want to consider the possibility.
“What happened here?” Aunt Felicia entered, carefully stepping over the shattered pieces of glass.
“I'm sorry. I'll clean that up immediately,” I apologized. Her suspicious gaze rested on me, demanding an explanation.
Ohh Well, the thing is that Taylor accidentally shattered the glass, but I'll clean it up now…” I tried to keep it as vague as possible.
She didn't know about his abilities and I wanted to keep it that way.
“Taylor?” She asked.
“Sorry, Auntie. I was trying to take a long shot at the net, but the ball went the wrong way,” he apologized.
I glanced at him, shocked that he could come up with such a lie in a space of seconds.
“You should be careful. We can't have you taking off the roof with your long shots,” Aunt Felicia joked, making her way to the kitchen.
I tried not to be bothered about Taylor and quickly cleaned up the place. If this goes on, I don't know how much longer we can continue the lie.
“Mummy.”
“Not now, Taylor. I need to clean up this mess.”
“When is Daddy coming home?” I froze at the question. Where did that come from? I don't remember telling him his father was on a trip or anything. We've never even talked about his father before.
“Daddy?” I repeated like I hadn't heard him right.
“It's nothing.”
He turned to leave but I caught his arm.
“Baby, talk to me. Did someone say something to you? Is anyone bullying you in school?” I asked because it was the only thing I could think of at that moment.
“Yes.”
“Yes? Someone has been bullying you?”
“No. I met someone, and he said I look just like him,” he told me.
My body went stiff. Taylor only looked like his father and there was no way…
“Did he say anything else? Did he ask where you lived or something?” Deep down I dreaded the answer. I hoped he didn't go spilling our address to a total stranger.
“No, but he said he would visit today to play football with me. It's almost six, Mom,” Taylor said sadly.
I pulled him into a hug.
“Honey, I can always play football with you if you want. You don't have to rely on the words of a total stranger,” I assured him, planting a kiss on his cheek.
“But he is here, mom.”
“What?”
Taylor stared innocently at me like he hadn't said a word. Almost immediately, there was a knock on the door.
My heart skipped.
“Stay here,” I whispered to Taylor before taking slow steps to the door. I looked through the window, but there was no one in sight.
I opened the door slowly and scanned around for anything unusual. Nothing.
Just as I was about to step in, I noticed the paper on the floor. I picked it up curiously, and my breath got caught in my throat as I saw the words.
LONG TIME NO SEE, PRINCESS.
/-Allan-/
A smirk crossed my face as I watched her face pale out.
That's right, princess. You should be very afraid.
If that boy was who I suspected he was, then she was going to have to do better than hide out in a small apartment.
When I first arrived in Australia, all I wanted to do was seek out the bastards who murdered my pack and return home with their heads. I didn't expect to meet my mini version, sitting alone in the park while other kids were having fun.
At first, I didn't understand how that was possible. I hadn't been with any woman except my Luna for years.
After tracking him home with his scent, I realized that there was one exception. The Alpha’s daughter whom I humiliated seven years ago.
She still had that sweet rosy scent.
It took a lot of self-control not to barge in and demand answers from her. I had to remind myself of the bigger issue at hand. I had to find those wolf hunters first. Red and her son would come later.
On second thoughts, I promised the boy I'd play football with him.
I stepped out of my hiding place and walked towards her shocked figure. She grew even paler when she saw me.
“Mr Allan!” Taylor squealed, running towards me, but before he could get to me, the redhead blocked his path.
“Mommy…” he started to protest, but she glared at him.
“Go up to your room now!” She ordered, and he turned around with a miserable look on his face. Poor kid!
“What are you doing here?” She snapped.
“That is no way to introduce a father to his son,” I leaned against the wall with crossed arms, gazing lazily into her burning crimson eyes.
“He is not your son!” She snapped and I gave a cold smile.
“Is that so?”
“Get out of my house!” She ordered. I rolled my eyes in exhaustion. She wasn't this loud the last time we met.
“I want to leave, princess want to, but I am taking my son with me. You cannot keep him from me any longer,” I responded calmly.
My words seemed to have struck a nerve because her pale face was now thick red with anger.
Does she know how hot she looks when infuriated?
My lips pressed in displeasure. I had no right to think that when I was mated to someone else. I couldn't have Red even if I wanted.
And now, I don't want her. Just my son.
“You. Are. Not. Taking. My. Son. Anywhere.” She seethed.
My eyes narrowed at her.
“I am your Alpha and you will do as I say!” I commanded.
All this talk was getting me pissed now, but a new sort of pleasure evolved when she dropped to her knees in excruciating pain.
I watched as she struggled to resist, but it only fueled the pain. Blood trickled down her nose.
I can remember the last time she was in this position. Taking me in like a little wh*re, begging for more.
“It's useless, Red. You can't fight it.”
“You. Are. Not. My. Alpha.” She gritted, in the midst of the pain.
Feisty. I like that.
She went still for a second then stared at me with
wide eyes. I chuckled. I was starting to wonder how long it would take her to realize it.
“That's right, princess. I killed your father and snapped his weak bones with my teeth. I am now your alpha .
