Chapter 5 Kitka took a deep breath as he closed the door behind him. "Did you get anything out of her?" Doc Longenbaugh asked. Kitka shrugged. "Some. She says there was some coffee in the pot when she got there; she drank it while she made a fresh pot." "If someone was trying to poison her, they were taking a big risk. Lanky or anyone else could have easily drank it first," Longenbaugh observed. "Yeah. You'd have to know her pretty well to know she'd drink it instead of throwing it out.
