Men aren't any different from women. Once disaster lands on your own head, you get unbelievably sensitive. All it takes is the slightest thing off, and you can sense it. ***** The second thing happened while I was leading a tour overseas. After we landed and checked into the hotel, I picked up my phone to let Shay know I'd made it safe. But when I opened my feed, there was her latest post. Back home it was peak travel season. Shay had taken a busload of tourists out to see the mountains. In the photo, Shay stood in an open field with thirty-some tourists, all of them holding a banner. Milo was right beside her. The two of them stood close, their heads tipped in toward each other. Sunrise lighting up the peaks. Absolutely breathtaking. Gorgeous mountains, Shay's excited caption. I was ready to let it go. They were on the same tour. People take photos together, it's normal. I was about to call Shay when Rina's message came in first. It was a photo. No, a screenshot. A screenshot of Milo's post. Rina: Finn, that sunrise over the mountains is gorgeous. We should go sometime! I wrote her back. Finn: For sure. We'll get the chance. But my eyes went straight back to that screenshot. Milo's caption was the part that burned. Every road ahead, I want to walk it with you. Read one after the other, the two captions lined up a little too well.
