Chapter 2

I wake up feeling refreshed then I realized that its my birthday "Happy Birthday Amy" Ava, my wolf said

"Thanks Happy Birthday to you too" I say, then Jack comes running into my room.

"Amy what are doing still in bed it's our birthday get up and get dress" Jack says and runs out my room "Happy birthday to you too" I sarcastically say as I get out of bed. I gave random clothes and jump in the shower.

After showering I went downstairs to see a huge stack of homemade strawberry & cream pancakes with a note that said "Happy birthday princess love mom and dad" Jack was already almost done with his chocolate chip pancakes as I sat down and started eating.

After I was finish I went outside and found my best friends April and Alex they're twins too, they are Dave's kids, they're a month older than Jack and I which means they had their first shift last month.

"Happy birthday bestie" April said as she gave me a giant hug "Yea happy birthday Amy" Alex said "Thanks guys". 

"Have you guys seen my mom anywhere" I asked "No sorry" they said. "Ok thank talk to you guys later" with that I walked off to find mom.

I walked back inside to get a glass of water and I found mom, Aunt Carrie, Rose, Dave's mate, and Maddie, April and Alex's aunt all hard at work. I walk over to the cabinet and grab a cup than filled it with water, "Hey Amy having a good birthday so far" Aunt Carrie asked "Yeah so what are you guys doing?"

"Well you and Jack's party is in a few hours and we have to have food to eat don't we?" Mom said "Cool can I help you?" I asked. Mom simply nods her head and I went to work after she told me what to do. It was 5:30 and the party was at 7:30 tonight and we finally finished.

My mom looks at her phone and says "Oh s**t we have to start decorating the party is in 2 hours and Amy and Jack still have to change" "Then lets get started" Aunt Carrie says. Then Rose says "Amy go find Jack, your father, April, Alex, and Dave to help decorate please"

"Ok Rose I'll be right back" I say

I walk outside and see April, Alex and Jack "Jack mom wants you to help decorate" Alex laughs at him "Oh April and Alex your mom wants you to help too" I say then April has a big smile on her face and starts clapping, Alex on the other hand has a big frown on his face. "They're inside oh and have y'all seen dad and Dave" 

Jack nodded and pointed towards a group of men talking and they start walking inside, I run towards the group of men. When I get their I hear them talking about trading with other packs or something like that.

"Daddy" I say getting their attention "Yes princess" dad says. "Mom wants you to help decorate for the party" I said his face turns into a frown. "Ha ha you have to help decorate" Dave says with a smile on his face. "Dave, Rose wants you to help too" I say his face is the same as dad's. Then dad starts laughing and says "Haha you have to help too"

They start fighting "They are already impatient so I would hurry unless you both want to sleep on the couch, you know they won't hesitate to do it". They both quickly stop fighting and run to the house while I start laughing then follow them.

An hour later mom tells me and Jack to go get ready, Jack goes in his room with a goofy smile on his face I wonder why?

I go in my room to get dressed but I can't find my dress Jack must have took it that would explain that stupid grin on his face. I go knock on Jack's door. "Amy why aren't you getting really the party is in 20 minutes" he says with a smile.

"I was just wondering if you seen the person who took my dress" I say a little angry.

"No sorry Amy I have been with Alex all day" he says trying to hold a laugh in. "I know you have it Jack just give it to me cause I don't want to fight with you right now!" I say calmly

"Sorry I don't have it" he says but I can clearly tell he is lying everyone else would know but I'm his twin so I know him better than anyone we hear footsteps coming closer to us it was aunt Carrie. "Amy what are you doing still not dressed the party starts in 10 minutes" she said.

"Aunt Carrie I would be dressed and already down if Jack hadn't taken my dress!" I say in anger she looks at me then at Jack and she could clearly see how hard he is trying to hold a laugh back.

"Jack if you have Amy's dress give it back or you get no party and you can wait in your room until it's close to time for you to start your shift. Jack looks at me and I give him a sickly sweet smile, he huffs in defeat, walks to his closet and gets my dress and walks back to me.

"Here's your stupid dress" he says I take my dress and turn away with a smirk on my face he rolls his eyes and walks down the stairs while aunt Carrie comes and helps me with my dress and hair quickly. Once I finished aunt Carrie zips my dress up for me and we head down to the living room for the party.

When we get down there I am hugged by mom and dad and they tell me happy birthday I say thank you. I see the devil child Jack talking to Alex and April looking bored out of her mind until she see me she squeals which makes Jack and Alex to jump as April runs up to me.

She has on a plain light blue dress on with a flower in her hair she looks so cute. "Hey April I love your outfit!" I say with a big smile on my face.

She returns the smile and says "Thank Amy I love your dress too" I say thank you then we hear my dad's voice as soon as everyone is here.

"Welcome everyone as you all know tonight is Amy and Jack's 10th birthday so that means that they will have their first shift tonight at midnight let's give a big happy birthday to them.

Everyone in the pack house yells Happy Birthday to us at the same time, frankly it hurt my ears a little after that everyone went back to talking to each other until it was time to eat.

After we eat it is time to cut the cake, since our pack is so big we have 2, 3 layer cakes. Mom and Dad open the 2 boxes and we saw the 2 most perfect cakes for each of us, this year we didn't get to pick ours cake mom and dad wanted it to be a surprise.

One looks like the forest since Jack likes being in the woods so much, it really did look like it had sticks and leaves and pine cones on it.

The other cake which is mine it is pink and lime green and has pink and green flowers all over and pink dots on the 2nd layer but mine was a 4 layer cake not 3 but I wasn't auguring.

Mom said that she decorated mine and dad decorated Jack's they did a really go job they really know us.

After me and Jack give mom and dad a big hug and say thank you they cut the cake we got the first piece and everyone got a piece after we got done we went and talked to the other kids.

About 15 mins later everyone gathers around me and Jack and we both get a present it was from aunt Carrie we both rip off the wrapping paper, when Jack opened his he found a big box full of hot wheels his and Alex favorite toys to play with, when I finished tearing all the paper off I found a big collection of hair bows, headbands, bows of all kinds of colors me and April love playing with each others hair it was perfect.

We had finished opening all of our presents expect mom and dad's they handed it to us Jack and I ripped the wrapping, our eyes light up seeing what it is. It was a brand new iPhone 5 mine was like a rose pink, Jack's was blue. Mom and Dad handed us one more small box and inside was custom made phone cases, Jack's was camo blue mine was mine was a pink glittery color.

After the present me and Jack played with our new phones mom and dad had already set it up. First me and Jack took some pictures, then me and mom, then dad, then April and Alex and so forth. When the party was over and everyone had left or when to their rooms it was close to 9:40. The only people left was me, Jack, mom, dad, aunt Carrie, my grandparents, Dave,  April, Alex and Rose. My dad told me and Jack to go change into some old clothes that we didn't care about so when we shift we won't anything we care about.

After that we had to go to the place where all the pups have their first shift it was a small building, it was also where we hold wolves if they get out of control.

Once inside daddy told us that we will start feeling more of a connection with our wolf around 11 pm and it was 10 pm. Mom and dad were talking to us about something but I wasn't listening because Ava kept talking and jumping around about our first shift. I was also feeling weird and daddy said I would be around 12 but it was only 10:30.

I look at Jack and he looks the same as me so I mind linked him since me and Jack are twins we have a special link together.

"Jack do you feel a little weird" I asked, "Yeah but it's only 10:30 lets ask dad"

"Dad, Amy and I feel weird" Jack told dad all dad did was look at mom and Dave then back at us and says "What's wrong?"

"I don't know I just feel off" I tell him Jack nods, all he has to say is "Let's wait and see".

So me and Jack go and talk to April and Alex. Then a little later I get a sharp pain that ran through my body.

April and Alex notices this and goes and gets mom and dad while the pain hits me again and Jack and I are on the ground.

"AMY, JACK what's wrong" mom asks us with worry on her face and all we can do is lay on the ground as the pain gets stronger. Dad runs to us and looks at us and at Dave and Mom then back at us.

Everyone in the room has a worry look on their face. Then dad says something that surprises everyone. "They're shifting"

 "Wait what! It's too early!" my mom says panicked. "It shouldn't be that painful" Dad says worried.

Then I feel all my senses get higher, my nails turn to claws my face changes I turn to look at Jack his eyes are silver now. Finally after about 20 - 30 minutes the pain stops.

I look up and see everyone and they all look of confusion, shock, and a little fear and I don't understand. Then I look at Jack and he is a black wolf with silver eyes he looks bigger than normal just shifted pups.

" Hey Jack you're bigger than usual pups" I mind linked him "You are bigger than most alpha pups too" he told me.

"What color am I" he asked "Uh we are black like normal a alpha's pup" I say "But Amy your fur isn't black it's white" he said with curiosity "My fur is white!?" I practically yelled through the link.

We both looked at our parents at the same time. My dad tells us how to shift back and we do and put on the clothes we brought and looked at everyone. "Dad why was my fur white and Jack's black I thought I was supposed to have black fur too" I asked my dad "Yeah and why are we bigger than normal alpha pups" Jack asked.

"Kids to be honest we were all just as surprised as you two are and we don't know why you are bigger and why your eyes are silver" Dad says. "we can figure it later first lets get you kids to bed" Mom says

Just then I yawn then April, then Alex, then Jack and we walk back pack house, more like our parent walked back to the pack house and they carried us.

When we get in my room dad puts me in bed and covers me up and kiss my forehead "Good night princess I love you" he says "Night daddy I love you too" and with that he leaves and my eyes close.
