DAMIEN I stepped out of the shower and decided I wasn’t going anywhere today. Home felt safe, despite everything that had happened. All I wanted was to enjoy that feeling while it lasted. As I dressed, my mind lingered on the fact that Missy’s tea had worked, but my thoughts didn’t stop there. The guilt resurfaced. I sighed, trying my best to push it away.
