Chapter 9Regardless of the fact Jase slept later than usual, he still felt exhausted. It had been a rough sleep with crappy dreams disturbing most of it. He crawled out of bed, unsure of what to do. He padded to the great room and collapsed on the couch. Clicking on the television he found an old movie that he hoped would take his mind off things. It did, in that it helped him fall back to sleep. The next time he woke, the sun had already slipped over the house, making him guess it was mid-afternoon. Shock had him sitting up so he wouldn’t fall back to sleep. He rested his elbows on his knees, as he funneled his fingers through his hair, pulling most of the way. His mind stayed stuck on Shaun.
